We had such a wonderful stay at this home! I visited with my three young kids and there was never a dull moment—so many fun activities to do, both indoors and out. We loved having access to the kayak and canoe, which we used on both the ocean and the nearby lake. The location was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing, and we had a blast fishing right off the dock. Inside, the house was cozy, spotless, and very comfortable. The beds were clean and comfy, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed—including spices and condiments, which made cooking easy. There were also tons of games to keep the kids entertained during downtime. The hosts were incredibly friendly, responsive, and proactively helpful, checking in by text and making sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place and would absolutely come back!

We enjoyed our stay at the crab cottage. The golf cart was a definite highlight to cruise around the town. We enjoyed eating out at the local places- definitely good food at lennys and willeys! The children enjoyed the back yard n we loved sitting on the screened porch. Thanx 4 a wonderful stay!

Heather was an amazing host, and the home was absolutely beautiful. Waking up to the waterfront views and the peaceful early morning walks are only some of the reasons why I would stay again. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, look no further.

We had a great stay at Cameron’s home. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate we were able to spend a lot of time on back patio which felt like we were almost outside. Cameron was nice enough to let us check in early. Overall great time and looking forward to next time. Thanks again Cameron.

Dani is very kind and responds almost instantly to any question! The instructions are very thorough and the home is well-kept. Definitely a 10/10 experience for someone like myself that was visiting Virginia for the very first time! Dani is the best in the game for sure!

This house was great! It had everything we needed while traveling with a baby. Jacqueline was so helpful, friendly and such a pleasant person. Very caring and was available everyone I reached out to her. The house was very comfortable. Our group of 10 had no complaints. I would 100 percent recommend this house to friends and family. We were looking for a nice, peaceful place to celebrate my grandson’s 3rd birthday and Landon’s place hit the spot exactly! Not only met expectations but exceeded them. Such an amazing view of the water and the house’s open floor plan was roomy yet still cozy at the same time. Landon was very responsive and provided clear instructions for our stay. We were able to bring our two small dogs so that was an added bonus! Absolutely loved the paddle boards, treehouse, tree swing, trampoline, and fire pit! Both beaches were so easy to get to and the privacy of them was great. My grandson didn’t want to leave and my kids already want to plan another trip here. Truly felt like home away from home and we can’t wait to come back! Thanks for making this a memorable birthday for our big guy 🥰🥳

The space is incredibly comfortable, offering a private entrance. The view of the river is spectacular adding to the charm. Added details like coffee, snacks, and a local chocolatier’s treats made me feel at home! Hosts are wonderful! Thanks for an amazing stay!

What a lovely place and friendly hosts. They kept us informed all the time with automated messages and videos. It was really helpful. We arrived a little bit too early and it was raining, so could not really go exploring - we asked if they would allow us to enter about 2 hours early, and they approved. It was really nice and very considerate towards us. We really appreciate it. Thank you! The place itself is very cute, and just the perfect size for 2 people. It is very central and we could walk everywhere. It was fully stocked- we did not need anything besides coffee as we enjoyed all the lovely restaurants around us. Fredericksburg itself was so much more than I anticipated - really quaint, pretty and a lot going on. We took a trolley tour to give us a feel for the place, and I can really recommend it. If ever we head that way again, we now know where to stay and where to eat! Thanks!

What a calm and peaceful private retreat! My fiancée and I spent a couple of days enjoying the brisk bay breezes and beautiful sunsets at Vickie’s. Everything was exactly as advertised and Vickie (and Scott) are true treasures—extremely responsive and thoughtful hosts who want you to have everything you need. Plus, their knowledge of the area gave us a great introduction to Leonardtown. So much more to the area than we thought! Whether birdwatching from “the best view on the block” or reflecting on the glider by the bay, we loved every moment of quiet and can’t wait to visit again. Thank you!

Kara's place was ideal for our trip since we had a little puppy with us. The apartment had a deck overlooking the road and it was a great place for the puppy to be in its own playground and contained within the area. The apartment was spacious, clean, breezy and light. There are a lot of details that indicate that the hostess was class A! She had chips in a basket waiting for us. The kitchen was well stocked, and we didn't lack for anything. The bathroom was clean, lovely-decorated and large. The best part of the morning routine was waking up to roosters announcing the day (from the neighbors). We left the windows open while we slept and it was lovely to hear the sounds of the animals in the countryside. Thank you for having us over.

This place worked wonders for our family vacation. the place is very new and updated with 2 full bathrooms that were clean and spacious for beach time and baths with kids. colonial beach is a hidden gem in a historic little town that seems as though at one point was hustling and bustling but isn't quite as popular as it once was but trying to come back. if your a family looking for a uncrowded beach and some activities to do in the area then this place is great! we actually read about this place being in the heart of historic downtown. only thing we would have loved to see with this place is some outdoor patio spot at the home directly to be able to sit outside together. the location does not really have any night life during the week, not even on 4th of July. we went out at 9 pm and the bar closed at 10 pm which seemed way too early for a Thursday and holiday and being on the beach.

After a little miscommunication on the arrival time, everything was at it should be or better. Great location, clean, responsive well worth it. Great experience and will be back regularly.

We had a great, peaceful stay! It was easy to find the place. Clear instructions. Parking was a breeze. The card, snacks, and waters were a nice touch! Also, I had mentioned bringing kids and there was a high chair for us. I don't know if that's always there but it was so thoughtful. The beds were soo comfy too especially the pillows! Neighbors were friendly and quiet.

House was great with space for everyone whether we gathered for a meal or game wanted to spread out. Super easy walk to the beach and boardwalk. GREAT coffee shop and a few gems of restaurants and shops-we were definitely there in off season and the town was not fully opened - lots of opportunity in the town and lots of places getting opened for the season! Would be a great place for a quick summer getaway

Our family had a wonderful stay at Scott and Carrie's. The location was GREAT as the walk to downtown Fredericksburg was so close! It was clean and cozy. We would stay here again and would recommend to others!

Had an amazing beachfront experience! I was taken aback by the breathtaking views from the balcony. Our host was attentive and made sure everything was in order for our arrival.

it was super remote and quiet, just the way we like it. fresh eggs from the hen house was a plus.

We had a wonderful weekend while staying at Casa 1776. The location was wonderful. The unit was clean, and very private. It was a perfect weekend getaway. The hosts Jordan and Veronica communicated well regarding the instructions for the property and answering our questions.
