Stedet har perfekt beliggenhet hvis du ønsker å oppleve kjente turiststeder øst eller vest i Lofoten. Utenfor døra finnes et flott terreng for toppturer både til fots og på ski. I tillegg er det et flott utgangspunkt for å utforske resten av lofoten siden stedets plasseringen midt i Lofoten gjør at de fleste steder kan nås i løpet av en time. Kvelden kan man tilbringe forran vedovnen mens man venter på nordlyset.

There are great hiking trails just outside, and you can catch fish from the dock. It is possible to pay and go out to sea with a big boat, or buy fishingcards for the waters abowe.
