At the cabin, you can listen to the sounds of nature as you take in the scenic valley views of Big Bottom and the mountain views of Scott’s Gulf State Park.

Private Guest House. We welcome you to our homestead in the making. We have cleaned up and made many improvements to the property and guest house has been remodeled. Enjoy campfires under the stars, free-ranging chickens and ducks. Cats and dogs will lovingly greet you! Just 20 min to McMinnville. 10 min to Isha yoga center. 15 min to the Cumberland Caverns. 30 minutes to Fall Creek Falls and Rock Island. Cell service is spotty here. McMinnville is the closest shopping/restaurants

The Refuge: The Shelter Tiny House

You will find a quaint Tiny House, called The Shelter, on 10 beautiful, wooded acres. We are 2 miles from one of Tennessee's most frequented state parks, Fall Creek Falls. The tiny house is 312sq ft with an enclosed front porch that looks out over the pond followed by a tiny waterfall and beautiful stream. We have trails, gardens, bonfire pits, places to sit, swing, ponder and more. We call this The Refuge where you can let down, slow down and refuel. Would love to have you!!!

12/10/25 I’m in the process of doing exterior siding on abnb and my house. There will be a bit of noise during daylight hours. This has now become an active family farm that requires land and livestock maintenance on a daily, you may hear a bit of noise during daylight hours, unless it’s a holiday weekend when my kids visit, those weekends can get a lot louder. I have been trying to keep my kids quiet for nearly 38 years…..if you’re a parent, you understand.
