Relax in this cozy 1928 bungalow in historic east Urbana near the University of Illinois, Carle Hospital, and downtown. Restored with modern amenities while keeping its original charm, the cottage welcomes up to 4 guests and 3 well-behaved dogs—no pet fee! Enjoy the quiet neighborhood, craftsman style, and comfy spaces. Strict no-smoking policy. Please note: two neighboring homes are being renovated, bringing some extra activity to the area and temporarily affecting the street’s appearance.

West Urbana state street guest suite

Next to the heart of the UIUC campus and surrounded by mature trees, this spacious, serene guest suite offers a relaxing stay. It has a private entrance with a foyer, a studio style main room and a bathroom. Sleeps two comfortably with a queen bed and a sofa (not a pull-out) for lounging. No TV, washer, or dryer. No kitchenette, but a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker are provided. Snacks and coffee pods provided. Not accessible for limited mobility. No parties and no smoking.

Our 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom, quaint craftsman home is in downtown Urbana. The home has been restored to the era when Roger Ebert lived there — according to details in chapter 1 of his autobiography, “Life Itself.” We're a 12-minute drive to downtown Champaign + a 5-minute drive to the U of I campus. We're happy to host families, too! Find a Mid Century Modern style complete with books written by Ebert; his school yearbooks from Urbana High; + more Illini and Urbana-centric nostalgia.

It is a 5 minute drive to the University, its stadium and other sports complexes, and the State Farm Event Center. As you'll see from the attached photos, the cozy house is tastefully furnished with everything you need for your stay.

There is a king bed in master and queen bed in the guest room with extra pillows/blankets and the bathrooms are well stock.
