We had the most lovely stay at Gjivo's, in great part due to our host's exemplary graciousness and helpfulness. We felt totally comfortable in his beautiful home..... the breakfasts he served us were delicious, our room was well appointed, the mattress and linens comfy, and the bathroom immaculate with great water pressure. Best of all, the gorgeous view from our window of the ocean and the old fort. Also, we appreciated how close we were to the old town, dining, shopping, easy access to tours and transportation. Thank you so much, Gjivo.....live well!!

Wyjątkowe miejsce z klimatem. Miły gospodarz, który chętnie odpowiadał na pytania dotyczące okolicy oraz pokazał nam muzeum wsi, które sam stworzył - to było niesamowite! Domowa atmosfera, piękna kuchnia w której można dowiedzieć się więcej o okolicy dzięki licznym źródłom, oraz spróbować własnych wyborów. Dziękujemy za cudowny pobyt!

This place was fantastic. We booked this last minute and thrilled we did. The apartment was absolutely spotless, it was like it was finished yesterday. The hosts were brilliant, recommended places to eat and provided a map of where we needed to go to for our nighttime activity. The mini fridge had a couple of drinks in that were loaded free of charge which was a very nice touch as in hotels this is a different story. Bed was absolute heaven, extremely comfy and felt right at home. Was gutted we couldn’t do more nights here. I could not recommend this apartment enough. Perfect in every aspect.

Majan luona oli aivan mahtava yöpyä. Ympäristö oli idyllinen ja rauhallinen. Läheltä löytyy sekä ravintoloita että ruokakauppoja. Kohteeseen oli helppo liikkua bussilla tai uberia käyttämällä. Maja myös hoiti meille kuljetuksen lentokentältä suoraan hänen luokseen. Hän oli kaikinpuolin muutenkin huomioiva, ystävällinen ja avulias, ja meillä on mukavaa olla hänen luonaan. Aamiainen oli myös erinomainen. Voin suositella!

We had a very nice stay. The apartment was big and had everything we needed. When we had questions they immediately helped us out. Breakfast was included, however this was no buffet, it was simple but with chocolate croissants and an egg. So it was a nice extra! Bus stop was a short walk and took us to the center of Dubrovnik in around 30min.

Nice room with a great view from a spacious terrace. the beach is a bit far when taking the road but there is a long staircase that is a bit of a shortcut if you can find it. it leads down to the beach with the poseydon beach restaurant. the town is small and quiet.

The place was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, quiet, and within walking distance to the old town (maybe 15 minutes downhill and also easily walkable back uphill on a well-lit path with stairs even at night). The hosts were very friendly and we appreciated that they looked after the small details such as offering coffee in the morning and juice in the afternoon on the wonderful terrace. We had a great stay and will return when we are again in Dubrovnik!

We stayed in the apartment for 10 days and we are very pleased. It is located conveniently close to the pool and also got two private outside resting areas (with table and chairs) where you can enjoy your morning coffee or prepare your own meal for family and guests. The pool area is very nice and we used it a lot. The room was spacious and practical and the beds were nice and comfortable. I can give this the warmest recommendation. The Villa Carmen is perfectly located closed to all surrounding facilities.
