Completely refurbished 50 foot houseboat that has retired from sailing the seas! The boat is completely furnished, including linens, towels, and a kitchenette (microwave, electric burner, skillet, coffee pot and mini fridge/freezer). We are 1/2 mile from Lake Russell or 5 minutes from Strom Thurmond and Jodi's Bait Shop with multiple boat ramps/WMAs nearby. Not into hunting/ fishing? That is ok too! History is just down the street with notable buildings including the Mary Wills library (complete with Tiffany windows), the Robert Toombs House, the Washington Historical Museum and the Kettle Creek battlefield. Just a short drive from Athens or Augusta if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay after a game or making your way to the Master’s tournament.

The Nest, Charming Country Setting south of Athens

This guest suite is located above the detached three car garage across from the main house. Beautiful views of the countryside, including horses and chickens! Sanford Stadium and beautiful downtown Athens are just 14 miles north of us (a 22 minute drive). Historic Madison is 19 miles to the south of us. You are welcome to fish or kayak on our pond as well. Come stay with us! We do have a no-pet policy and a no-smoking policy. Thank you for respecting our space.
