Local beaches are a walk away from the apartment and Spiddal Village with its famous Craft Village is a short drive away. The local airport and ferry that services the Aran Islands is a short drive away. Galway City is a 30 min drive away with its many artisan shops and restaurants. Phone reception is poor in the area but there is high speed Fibre broadband

Farm land surrounds the cottage,with great fishing and walking routes on your door step.

This purpose built shepherds hut is a cosy self-contained retreat nestled on the edge of Gleninagh Bay. Experience peace and tranquility surrounded by Gleninagh Mountain on one side and stunning views of Galway Bay, Aran Islands and Connemara on the other. We are 5 mins drive from the village of Ballyvaughan and a short car journey from many of the local tourist attractions in the area. There is a pier and slipway 2 mins walk from the property.

Guest Accommodation in Spidéal, No Wifi

This is a wooden chalet to the rear of our property that we use to accommodate family when visiting. The village of Spiddal is a 15 - 20 minute walk away and Galway City is 12miles or 17km away. There is a regular bus service ( the 424) You can catch the bus and get off the bus at the end of the road which is a 5 minute walk from the property but having a car is probably best. It's a great base for exploring Galway and Connemara etc. No WIFI
