A cozy and family friendly cabin in the middle of wild Icelandic birch forest. Its ideal for 5 guests but it has sleeping arangements for up to 9 plus we provide one baby crib. Parking spaces for at least 2 cars. Electrical heating and a boiler for hot water. Tap water is as clean as it gets in Iceland. It is totally safe to drink directly from the tap. Lots of entertainment for kids like, leisure area with jig saws, crayons, games etc. Loft area with toys, books and sleeping area for two. Outside there is a swing, outdoor toys and mini cabin (closed from Nov-Mar). It can be quite an adventure for kids to explore the closest area. There is not a wifi but good moble coverage (4G). - The Camping Pod is a comfortable sleeping bag accommodation for two people. If guests do not have sleeping bags, bedding can be rented. Great location to explore some of the countries most popular sites & areas, Such as: The Golden Circle, Snæfellsnes Peninsula, Lava Falls & The Ice Cave. - Access to hot tubs, Showers, & communal kitchen included - Free WIFI in Communal areas. - Great restaurant on site (need to order breakfast & dinner in advance during low season) - The pods are log huts, they are insulated and heated and stand up well to the Icelandic winter. - Friendly & helpful hosts with good local knowledge. - No public transportation is to Fossatún.
