This ca 1840 house, listed on the National Register of Historic Place as part of the Scottsville Historic District, has been completely renovated. It is located in historic Downtown Scottsville. Within walking distance are four restaurants and a brewery. A grocery store and other restaurants also a short drive away. A nature area with trails is also nearby. Charming cottage located in Scottsville, Virginia on a 93 acre sheep farm. It is located 19 miles from Charlottesville. The Shepherdess Cottage is tiny, relatively private and offers beautiful views. We are a working farm so you may encounter us, but will respect your privacy as much as we can. You are welcome to "free range" with our sheep and enjoy exploring the property. Sometimes our lambing season (pretty much year-round) will offer bottle babies that you can feed and cuddle.

A pasture of cattle is not too far away you can hear the mooing at times and see sightings of deer quite often. It’s a private and quiet location. Two large rivers, James and Rivanna offer recreational activities. Rustic cabin, country located. Clean and cozy with a well stocked kitchen with all your cooking needs. Charming log cabin with amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Only 15 minutes to Route 151 brew trail and 25 minutes to UVA or Wintergreen Resort. Please note that while the cabin offers an idyllic hilltop setting, access requires a 4-wheel drive vehicle due to the steep gravel driveway. For guests without such vehicles, designated 2-wheel drive parking is available halfway up the driveway. Refer to “Other details to note" and “House Rules” prior to booking.

Cottage at Fruit Hill Orchard

The Cottage at Fruit Hill is nestled between our peach and apple orchards on my family’s 12 acre farm. Take a stroll through the peach blossoms, pick from our sunflower patch, enjoy some private time in the orchards during the fall, and gaze at our Christmas lights display in December. This charming cottage was originally built in the 1940’s and has recently been updated to be as comfortable for our guests as possible. Come enjoy a peaceful getaway at the orchard!
