San Carlos: acomodações em fazendas

La vue du balcon est tout simplement magnifique. Toutes les commoditiés y sont et la propreté est irréprochable. C'était notre deuxième séjour là bas, la cuisine est nouvellement rénovée et géniale. Vraiment nous n'hésiterons pas à y retourner, la famille Silvio's a vraiment à coeur le bien de ses clients, vraiment la Casa Del Sol est extraordinaire!

This is a farm stay in a lovely, well-equipped large 4 bedroom house. The early morning work trucks woke us up, followed by the howler monkeys around 5:30 am every day. The neighbors in the close-knit community are either family or friends. They were quite helpful to us, especially Chofo, the gardener. The small, nearby town, Venecia has everything you could possibly need. Our favorite restaurants were Las Machas out of Río Cuarto and El Picador Smokehouse on the way to Aguas Zarcas. We visited 3 National Parks: Arenal, Juan Castro Blanco, and Braulio Carrillo. Don’t miss the blue pools at Río Agrio Falls and Cascada Pozo Azul. They are less expensive than others in the area and wonderful places to visit. The house (kitchen) is well-stocked, but, more importantly, Isabel is probably the best hostess we have ever had in 15 years on Airbnb. We felt accepted and totally welcomed.

Das Haus liegt wunderschön, die Vögel zwitschern und sind häufig von der Terrasse aus zu beobachten. Das Leitungswasser ist trinkbar und schmeckt hervorragend. Die Wände des Hauses sind aus Holz und lassen Geräusche hindurch- man kann aber deshalb auch im Bett die Musik der Vögel hören. Uns hat es super gut gefallen, nur die Wegbeschreibung, das fehlende Schild an der Straße und die telefonische Beratung sind schlecht gewesen und wir haben einige Zeit verloren.

Wir waren als Paar in der Unterkunft von David. Es ist ein sehr privates Gelände mit zwei separaten Häusern. Ein Auto sollte definitiv vorhanden sein. Der Blick durch die Glasfassade oder auch vom Balkon aus auf den Vulkan sind faszinierend. Der Balkon ist sehr einladend, um ein kühles Getränk zu genießen oder Yoga zu machen - tolle Kulisse! In der Umgebung gibt es auch Restaurants, wobei ich hier empfehlen würde nach La Fortuna zu fahren (ca 20-30mim Fahrtzeit). Die Kommunikation mit David war einwandfrei, schnell und freundlich. Mögliche Aktivitäten für aktive Personen in einem Umgebung von ca 60km: Hanging Bridges, Cavernas de Venado, Rio Celeste, Mirador El Silencio.

My husband and I loved staying here. The place was very private and a little slice of paradise that included a view of the Arenal Volcano on clear days. Swimming in the pool and enjoying the sounds of the jungle were definitely highlights. We also loved being a little outside of the hustle and bustle of town, but just a short drive away when we wanted to explore that area. The place itself was small but had everything we needed and we felt right at home. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting La Fortuna.

I truly cannot say enough good words about Beth and her place … surpassed our expectations in every single way!!! Being in Monteverde is an experience as unique as this home. It is like a very fancy three story tree house with gorgeous woods and 2 spectacular patios looking out to the mountains & her property with lush vegetation and stunning garden. And Beth herself matches the home … GORGEOUS… the kind of truly genuine, giving, caring, lively & passionate person that you don’t run across often in this life. We are forever grateful for our stay in her dream home. She welcomed us with homemade banana bread I wish would never run out! Then homemade berry/lemonade & bowl of tons of fresh local fruit. Beth even let us know about an incredible fun local event one of the nights we were there. Made us feel like we were totally part of the community . We definitely consider the is our home away from home in stunning Monteverde!!! We adore you, Beth!!

We had such an amazing stay with David and family. They were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The cabin was just the right balance of rustic and comfortable. It’s just off the road, but you feel like you are far away in jungle paradise. David was very attentive and had lots of great recommendations. We can’t wait to come back!

We were a group of 10- 4 adults and 6 kids staying here for 4 nights. What a lovely home and incredible stay. Peaceful surroundings, easy to store/restaurants and town, incredible property with more than enough room. The outdoor living space was a wonderful place to unwind while the kids played in the pool or played games at the main table. Jordy helped check in as well as arrange for various activities like zip lining, hanging bridges. Joaquin takes incredible pride in the grounds work- as he should. It's impeccable. He took the kids on a tour of the grounds one morning and fed us fresh coconut, mango, and magical fruits that turned limes sweet- the kids were obsessed! We had Yadi cook dinner one night, amazing authentic typical food and there was more than enough for leftovers. Which they cleaned up and stored for us as well. Fully functional kitchen, plenty of space for the kids to bunk up or have their own rooms. Easy access to all excursions! Highly recommend! Pura Vida!

My husband and I stayed at Maria's place for our honeymoon and everything was fantastic. The room was fully equipped and comfortable and the hot tub was a huge bonus. Maria served us breakfast from the restaurant on the property and she made sure we were fully taken care of. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed our time there. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Me encantó el lugar, da mucha tranquilidad el estar en un campo abierto, deben tener en cuenta que la casa es un concepto abierto para disfrutar más de los animales y vista al paisaje maravilloso. Un lugar muy rústico que se puede prestar para muchas actividades en familia o en pareja.✌🏽

Jean’s place is VERY special! We loved our tucked away little home in the hills of Monte Verde. Milton was super friendly and helped us get situated right away at the house. Our favorite part was the on site jungle walk around the property, horses, and the cutest little puppy!! It did get a bit warm in the middle of the day but we had plenty of fans to keep us cool. Electricity is sometimes a little spotty but was never a problem. Milton was very responsive and helpful to anything we needed. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area :)

The search is over! This is the place, just book it. Karina’s vacation home is new, modern, and spacious. The design was well thought out and executed. The home boasts three bedrooms and four full bathrooms which were all pristinely clean. The beds and linens are high end and comfortable. The pool with volcano view is breathtaking and the photos do not do this place justice. Just down the road is La Fortuna with all the activities and adventure, but this home is on private property away from all the kitschy tourist traps. We are avid travelers and this is easily in the top three places we have ever stayed with Airbnb.

Where to begin...a beautiful location outside of the thick tourist zone of La Fortuna. The views and surroundings were breathtaking. Only about a 10-minute drive into the center of La Fortuna with great dining options. The house was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Agustin was responsive and very friendly. Highly recommend this stay for you and your family! Would also be very private and romantic for a couple.

The view over the lake arenal is just phenomenal! The house has a huge garden with some fruits, herbs & vegetables wich we were allowed to eat. We can for sure recommend.

This Airbnb was in a great location! Several restaurants within walking distance and we loved the El Salto Rope Swing which was only a 6 min walk. We were also very close to the downtown, still had to drive but it wasn't bad. There is plenty to do around the area. Most of the springs are within a 25 min drive. The house itself was very nice. We felt safe and the pool felt amazing after a long day of exploring. I would definitely recommend this house.

Oscar’s villa is absolutely amazing and highly recommended! The view of the volcano is breathtaking, the pool is perfect for relaxing, and Oscar is incredibly helpful. He also gave us a ride to La Fortuna — such a kind host!

This is a very nice, secure, spacious, family home in a local Costa Rican town. All the locals are extremely friendly, and the surrounding nature was breathtaking. We woke up every morning to see a beautiful white horse in the backyard, hummingbirds galore, and there was even a sloth family that lived in the trees above the playground down the street. Andrea is a fabulous host, who really cares about your stay, and checks in daily. We did a pineapple tour, visited the butterfly gardens, relaxed in thermal springs, and of course saw the volcano Arenal. There is so much to do nearby. We would rebook this place in a heartbeat! Highly recommend.

Of all the Airbnbs I’ve stayed at, and there were 4 just in CR, this one is my favorite. I got out of the car and was left speechless. This is the most beautiful, special property I could imagine. A birders paradise, especially with the Montezuma’s hanging nests filling the tree in the yard. We hiked along the trail that runs next to the house, through the creek on the property, and were close enough to the activities in the area (selvatura, curi cancha, and 100% aventura. This place is stunning and will stay with me for a long time. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing. we saw the howler monkeys in the trees above, humming birds, and blue jean frogs, brown frogs. cute poison dart frog, turkey vulture, red necked goan bird and one very large spider. No real issues with bugs. the open plan nature of the communal area does mean some cicada and grass hoppers can come in, as well as small geckos and beetles. The pool is amazing. The stream out back attracts the birds and does some provide natural white noise. Next door has some friendly dogs and a small goat that visited. Finca de Educativa, chocolate tour is just next door and has a great buffet sometimes available. The river essence spa is close by and provides very good value massage. It is a short and easy drive into town for the supermakets and Friday farmer's market The communal area is huge and could easily accommodate many more than our small group. The host is very responsive and the onsite maintenance guy sorted out any small issues quickly.

Truly one of the most beautiful and relaxing places we have stayed in. A wonderful retreat, and in the few cases where we had questions or issues during our stay, Esteban was quick to respond. We hope to return!

The house could use a little TLC, some things didn’t work like the ice maker, speaker and dryer. Which didn’t bother us but if you’re a little pickier it may have been an issue. The pool was lovely and Danny the caretaker was on the ball! The village is small and quiet about an hour from tourist areas which I absolutely loved!
