This spot was great! It served as a base camp for the Adirondack portion of our 2024 fall expedition. It's just minutes from Lake George but not in the chaos so when you are done there you feel like you are going home. Our only regret is that we had so many road trips planned we didn't get to spend much time at Glen lake - it is so peaceful and quiet. However, It was great to wake up each morning to the sun sparkling across the lake and coming right into the living room through the trees, especially with the leaves radiating in color. Everything is right nearby so it's super convenient and it's just a minute from RT87 so you can go where ever you want. The host we're super nice, very friendly and made it feel like we were at our 3rd home - totally comfortable! We'd go back in a heartbeat...

We were two couples and enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It is well organized and located in a beautiful setup on the lake. A relatively short 30 minutes drive allowed us easy access to the white Mountains attractions. Vanessa was proactive on closing the open space above the bedroom doors just before we came - so this issue as reported in some other reviews has gone away… in short - highly recommended!

Fantastic spot. We stayed in the fall. It was quiet on the lake. We enjoyed SUPing and Kayaking. Was happy to find “one earth” natural grocer up the road a bit. We enjoyed a fire in the wood stove every night. The Loons were a special treat too. It is steep and lots of stairs to the water but worth the climb. :) Lea was so accommodating and responded immediately to every inquiry. Hoping to book again next fall!

Very nice and clean camp right on the lake. Easy access to snowmobile trails and the lake. We had a great time and would definitly stay again.

We had an awesome stay at this cozy, comfortable cottage—perfect for two families after a full day on the slopes. Every afternoon, we came back to the quiet and warmth of the cabin, made great meals in the super-cute kitchen, built a fire in the wood stove, and played board games around the big table. The kids loved the bunk room (especially having their own book lights!), and everything was easy to find and use. The shower was great, the space was inviting and there were many thoughtful touches such as plenty of hooks for hanging ski gear! We really appreciated how the family updated the cabin while keeping its historic charm. Such a great spot—would absolutely stay again! Thanks for making us feel so welcomed and comfortable!

Beautiful home in a lovely setting. Truly a home away from home!

We had a wonderful stay at this home for a mother daughter weekend end of March. Great location for each of us coming from different states in New England. The home was very clean, each of us commented on how comfortable the beds were, also loved the good quality linens. The huge dining table was unique for a rental and was awesome for sharing meals and doing arts & crafts. Lots of space and seating in the living room as well. Highly recommend staying here!

Irene was a great host! She reached out with very helpful information regarding the property and lake, which allowed us to prepare well for our stay. The house was clean, well-stocked, and exactly as pictured—perfect for a vacation getaway with friends!

Mitch has a lovely home with beautiful surroundings (Lake Champlain for kayaking and listening to the water lap on the shore, view of mountains across in the Adirondacks), local walks in the area are nice. Hiking not far away. We went into Burlington for a concert. Nice to realize that Mitch is related to a close friend of mine. A very peaceful spot,

This was the perfect snowy getaway we were looking for! The space was even larger then expected, clean, comfortable and very cozy. The views right on the lake were idyllic and we would definitely return here in the summer to take advantage of the water more! The hosts were welcoming and responsive while the space still felt private. Overall this was a peaceful weekend and we would recommend this spot for others to enjoy as well.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Lake Placid. It’s right on Main Street in downtown Lake Placid, central to everything. It’s simple, comfortable, has a great bathroom with big bath tub and separate shower. The bed is cozy, the kitchen has all needed amenities, and has a walk out yard right on Mirror Lake. We’ve stayed here 2 years in a row with our 2 dogs while I play hockey and we all go hiking. We highly recommend it for visiting couples or singles.

There isn’t enough space to share all the great things about this place. Remarkably clean, modern amenities, comfortable furniture, and on and on. The hosts are friendly and easy to get ahold of if needed. This is our second stay and it’s was just as beautiful as it was 3 years ago. It’s definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The added bonus is the beautiful lake with easy access for seasonal enjoyment.

I've been out of the country for a few months. After arriving home my spouse and I needed a get-a-way. Doc's spot is exactly what we needed. Cozy home, beautiful lake and all the amenities I could ask for plus more. Doc, as many people have reviewed, is an excellent, friendly host. My only wish is that we stayed longer! We'll be back for sure. Thank you for hosting us Doc!

The cottage was clean and cozy with beautiful views of the lake. Although it rained most of our stay and we couldn't enjoy being outdoors as much as we would have liked, the house was comfortable and enjoyed, meals, reading and playing board games on the sun porch. It was a lovely home away from home and would gladly stay again on future visits to the area.

Notre séjour chez Phillipe s’est très bien passé. L’emplacement du chalet était parfait, la vue sur le lac est magnifique ! Robert, l’employé de Phillipe, a été totalement disponible pour nous et arrangeant. Il nous a très bien accueillit et vraiment gentil. Nous tenons à le remercier grandement. Le chalet était propre et complet niveau équipement. Nous vous conseillons ce chalet.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans le chalet de Dan. La communication avec lui a été rapide et agréable — il s’est montré très arrangeant et nous a donné d’excellents conseils. Le chalet est parfaitement équipé : la cuisine contient tout le nécessaire, et nous avons particulièrement apprécié la machine à espresso. La salle de bain est bien aménagée, et les lits sont très confortables. Le salon, lumineux et chaleureux, est un endroit idéal pour lire ou se détendre. Le chalet est impeccable, bien situé, et offre une ambiance paisible. Les enfants ont adoré le pédalo, et nous avons aussi beaucoup profité du feu sur le deck en écoutant de la musique. Une expérience mémorable que nous recommandons vivement ! Merci Dan!

Merveilleux séjour dans un très bel endroit. Valérie était très attentionnée et a répondu rapidement à nos demandes. Elle a fourni des instructions claires et précises. Le chalet est bien entretenu avec un grand terrain et endroit idéal pour faire des feux entre amis. Les photos représentent bien l’endroit.

Unfortunately, due to health circumstances, we were unable to stay at Shelly’s place. However, communication with Shelly was excellent, she is very compassionate and understanding, and I look forward to staying at her place in the future.

Amazing 3-day stay! Perfect, peaceful view with a quiet environment. The lake is beautiful with clean water. The house is in great condition and well-equipped - we enjoyed cooking there. The owners are very nice. Everything we needed was provided. Highly recommend!
