Olympic National Park visitors WELCOME to our private walk-out basement apartment with plenty of natural sunlight. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a sweeping view of the Straight of Juan de Fuca while being conveniently located across the street from Olympic National Park. The apartment is within walking distance from the Peabody Creek trail and ONP Visitor's Center. It's only a 30 minute drive to Hurricane Ridge and a 5 minute drive to the Victoria, BC ferry. Family friendly!
This studio apartment really gives you the best of both worlds in terms of breathtaking water views and easy access to the national park. We LOVE the location and are excited to share it with visitors from all over the world. It's a clean and comfortable space! The driveway is a little tricky to get out of, just take your time and you'll be just fine. We live in the house (upstairs and the rest of basement that is not part of the apartment). We have a 6 year old son and a 2 year old daughter that needs tending to at times at night. Noise transfer to the apartment is typically minor. But if you have any problems or concerns please let us know
Our place is on a quiet drive, directly across from Olympic National Park Head Quarters. There are 3 other houses on the drive. Very friendly people surround us! Depending on the time of year you will have access to fresh wild blackberries across from our driveway (just watch out for the thorns).

A cama é extremamente confortável.

*Covid-19 Alert - Please see more details noted under our space description* Ambiance!! Great views of harbor and Straights. Next door to Olympic Nat'l Park HQ & trails. A one of a kind NW contemporary home with private entry studio apt offering high end amenities & linens, electric fireplace, kitchenette, yard, outdoor grill, free cable TV&WiFi. Minutes from P.A. restaurants & nightlife. Forest next door. Architect designed, City inspected & certified.
*Covid-19 Alert* Please be aware Port Angeles is an isolated community and not significantly impacted. In addition, to our already high standard cleaning policy, we are taking extra measures to ensure our spaces are completely sanitized between guest stays to ensure our guest safety. This is a city inspected and certified lodging and meets all safety and building codes. The classic Olympic National Park headquarters is across the street! So while you look upon the City and the Juan de Fuca Straights from the room and yard, a wall of forest and a maze of trails is just across the street. What we call the "Redwood Room" is the ground floor studio apt and looks out on a redwood tree, the yard, and expansive water views. It has its own private driveway and electronic (keyless) entry. The Redwood Room has a queen size bed with high quality linens. It also has a convertible sofa futon that easily converts to a very comfy full size bed. The space is approx. 600 sq ft and has a no-stove kitchenette with a wet-bar, sink, microwave, frig, coffee maker, toaster, dishware for 4, outside charcoal bbq, outdoor bar and patio furniture. Let us know if you need anything extra - such as rice maker, steamer, crock pot, air mattress, etc. The recently remodeled bathroom has new a granite sink, granite vanity, and spacious custom-tiled shower with top end fixtures. For ambiance, use our eco-electric fireplace. A guest book will be in your room with important info such as emergency contacts and safety info, WiFi, cable and other helpful instructions, local brochures, hospitality policies, etc.
Our neighbors are wonderful. Of course, one whole side of the street is Olympic National Forest, friendly park rangers, trails, and that classic ONF Headquarters building. You can drive around the block or walk through the forest to the Olympic National Park visitor center. There you'll find Park information, a fantastic gift shop, displays of National Park flora and fauna, and riveting videos of park wilderness areas. In Fall and Winter this year, renovations are being made to visitor center. During that time the Park visitor center will be housed in temporary buildings just across the street from @ The Park Inn at Olympic National Park Headquarters! What we love about our home is its custom craftsmanship, cedar plank paneling, spectacular views, sunrises, and sunsets. The forest is across the street, the city of Port Angeles and the Straights of Juan De Fuca below us. Within 15 minutes to a half hour are myriad summer and winter activities, protected wilderness, and stunningly beautiful Nature.

Welcome to our humble abode located on beautiful Lake Sutherland. Built in 1974, our rustic cabin has been used by our family primarily on summer weekends until now. The location is beautiful and convenient for people who are visiting the Port Angeles area or Olympic National Park and are looking for a place to rest and relax.
The cabin is comprised of a kitchen, living room and bathroom on the first floor and a bedroom and den in the daylight basement. The interior of the cabin needs some cosmetic improvements, but we added the beautiful and spacious new deck in 2017 that provides a lovely setting for morning coffee or a glass of wine or dinner in the evening. There is one bedroom with a queen bed downstairs available for use by guests and is accessed by a (*steep and narrow*) spiral staircase. There are also two trundle beds (four twin beds), one upstairs and one downstairs. The entire space is about 1000 sq ft. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials: coffee maker/grinder, electric teapot, dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, full-size refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, waffle maker and electric griddle. There is a gas grill outside. The bathroom is small and we provide soap, shampoo, conditioner and plenty of towels. Chairs and beach towels are provided. We have three paddle boards available during summer months for guests to use. A trail down to the water is shared with our neighbor and getting to our dock requires walking about 40 feet (partly on the neighbor's property) along the water from the end of the trail. There is parking in front of the house, which is accessed by a steep driveway. The washer and dryer are located in a small shed on the side of the house. We do not have a television at the cabin but we do have books, games, puzzles and a small Bluetooth speaker. There is wi-fi at the lake house, but the signal is unreliable at times due to heavy traffic in the summer and weather conditions in the winter. Cell phone coverage varies by provider and data access can be slower in the summer.
The lake is pretty quiet in the late fall, winter and spring, though there is a handful of people living there year-round. Things get busier in the summer months, when property owners and guests bring their boats and jet skis out for fun in the sun, especially on weekends. Kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, bird watching and fishing are also popular. The public boat launch, which provides the only public access to the lake, is located just a few minutes from the cabin and requires a Discovery Pass, which can be purchased locally. There is a small convenience store/gas station located across the lake that can be accessed via a 5 minute drive. It is recommended that groceries be purchased in Port Angeles before coming out to the lake.

Leave the urban world behind as you enter the psychedelic magic & wide open skies of Freshwater Bay! You'll be greeted by a quiet and peaceful home, (possibly) the worlds sweetest border collie, perennial gardens, fruit trees, views of Striped Peak, the Straits of Juan de Fuca, Mt. Baker and beyond! Walk to the beach and launch your boat/kayak in one of the favored kayaking destinations! Also close-Lake Crescent, Olympic National Park , Salt Creek, Elwah River etc etc.
My space is unique because it has both a beautiful peace about it. Rainbows, water views, incredibly clean and fresh ocean air, the scent of lilacs, lavender and jasmine...it really does feel like a paradise. Less than a two minute drive away is one of the countries premier kayak and boat launches
My neighborhood is somewhat private, the country dirt road is an easement to only me and two other properties. You might happen to see a neighbor, and feel free to say hello :-)

Nós amamos a rede, as vistas, e toda a experiência.

Hand built by a former Olympic National Park back country carpenter and trail builder this home is both a work of art and a tribute to the forest of the Olympic Peninsula. The home shows the love, care and respect of the natural environment that he maintained in the Park during his years of service. Now owned by Jeffery and Sophia they hope to carry on his traditions and allow you to enjoy their home while they continue working and traveling.
At our Wapiti Rose home you will find that Olympic National Park really is your backyard, literally. Situated on 5 acres, the property is bordered by the Park. The West Elwha River Trail can be accessed from the property and leads directly into the Park.
We are located 10 miles from downtown Port Angeles. Within 10 miles of our home you have access to ocean beaches, Lake Crescent, Mountain hikes, waterfall hikes and hot springs hikes.

Whiskey Creek Beach NW has exquisite views of the Straight of Juan De Fuca. The Chalet Trailer is right on the beach (see further details for Fall and Winter location). Incredible views of the Canadian Cascade mountains on Vancouver Island and Mt. Baker. Come watch the eagles hunt, seals play and the waves crash. Stroll the breach and bask in the beautiful sunrise and sunset. This location has the best the PNW can offer.
Our little Chalet Camper on the beach is just fantastic. Beach front glamping, literally feet from the crashing waves that will serenade you to sleep on the Strait of Juan De Fuca (please see below for notes on Fall and Winter location). The camper has hot water, heat, refrigerator and a cooking stove. You will also have your own fire pit and some chairs to sit outside and enjoy the view. Full-sized mattress to sleep on and a dining table. This camper is "off-grid", so only the 12 volt power systems will be functioning. The outlets will not work at that voltage. You can plug anything you need to charge in our office. Propane will ensure you have a working refrigerator, hot water at the sink and heat on a chilly night. Short walk to the outhouse and unrestricted access to the shower house. NOTE: You will not be able to park at the camper, it is about 200 yards from the location where you can unload your personal items. Parking will be in the multi-use area marked on the map in the photos. FALL, WINTER AND SPRING GUESTS: The Chalet Camper will be moved to a higher elevation for the Fall and Winter season (Starting sometime between mid-Sept to October 1st**** UNTIL THE END OF MAY. early or late rains may mean we have to move the trailer earlier, this is for your comfort and safety). The tides are higher in the Fall and Winter and we want to make sure everyone is safe but still has a wonderful view of the strait. The secondary location(s) are pictured in the last five pictures. (See the photo of the map of the property) Located just 25 minutes outside Port Angeles, our guests can enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Olympic Peninsula with easy access to town and some of the best hiking, hunting, fishing and exploring you will ever find.

Hip townhouse in a 1902 farm style home with eclectic and antique decor. Huge windows, bright, sunny, deck with a hammock, shelf full of books, and a view of Hurricane Ridge. 1 mile to Olympic National Park Visitor Center, walk to waterfront, downtown, groceries, 1 block to Blackbird Coffee (best in P.A.), clawfoot bathtub, proper organic coffee (no crap here). Wifi, private entrance, full kitchen with all dishes and cooking gear!
Stay here if you are looking for a clean, classy, and relaxing place to hang out while you explore Olympic National Park, downtown Port Angeles, or the Olympic Discovery Trail. If you like to go out, you can walk to Michael's, Nextdoor Gastropub, The Blackbird Coffee House, or any restaurants on the waterfront. If you like to stay in, grab a wine glass from the cabinet and a book from the shelf, and pour yourself a glass of wine and have a bubble bath in the clawfoot tub. Safeway is about four blocks away for groceries, and you can use the full fridge, microwave, stove and all the fancy kitchen gadgets we have for some reason accumulated of the years. There is one Queen bed and a couch that folds out in the living room. The deck is a great place to soak up the sun - in a chair or in the hammock. This place is for coffee lovers. We include a variety of methods to make your perfect cup and REAL coffee for people who love coffee. No Folgers here, my friend.
Our neighborhood is great because it is walking or biking distance to everything. Olympic National Park - 1.1 miles to the visitor center (get your camping and backcountry permits here, maps, books etc) Hiking/running: -Peabody Creek Trail - 1.1 miles away - a nice jaunt through mature forest along a babbling creek -Verne Samuelson Trail - 1.1 miles away - a ~2mi. walk along a narrow strip of creek -Heather Trail - 6.5 miles away - This trail can be made into a ~16 mile loop or it can be done as an out and back. It also connects to Hurricane Ridge Trails. This is a steep, long and challenging hike through several vegetation zones -Lake Angeles Trail - 6.5 miles away - Very similar to Heather Trail, a loop or an out and back to the Lakes. The Lakes are a 3.5 mile trip, one-way. -Heart O' The Hills Trail/Campground - 6.5 miles away - a 5-mile round trip out and back hike - some really lovely old growth here. This can be a busy hike in summer due to the campground's proximity. -Hurricane Ridge Trail - 19 miles away - The classic sub-alpine/alpine hike. There can be many people up here, but it is worth doing. Marmots and super views are pretty common. Coffee - It's really not worth mentioning any others than the Blackbird Coffeehouse, one block from the crib. This is the best coffee in town. The baristas are amazing. Baked goods made fresh daily. Groceries Drinks/nightlife Restaurants
