Puerto Ayora: aluguel por temporada de suítes privativas

We had the pleasure of staying in Santa Cruz, Galapagos at this lovely establishment run by Sandro and his kind wife. He suggested some local restaurants that were quite tasty and featured fresh regional cuisine which we thoroughly enjoyed. Pricing at the restaurants and stores in the area were quite reasonable and their hours were a bit longer than in other regions, because many locals live in this general location. Additionally, since we booked two rooms, we were happy to unexpectedly receive a private suite with a full kitchen with an attached sitting area & dining room. Sandro graciously booked our taxi to the airport and shared insights on the area. Big thanks to Sandro and his family for a great stay!

El lugar estuvo muy acogedor para la familia, fueron unas vacaciones cortas pero muy bonitas, el unico inconveniente era que no sabia donde dejara basura, por todo lo demás , todo bien !!

Carol is an excellent communicator and always responded quickly. I had some things I needed help with during my stay, and Carol was quick and helpful in resolving them. Thank you again! The place is fantastic—I loved it! The neighborhood is quiet by Ecuador standards and feels safe. The room has everything you need and is cozy. The mattress is comfortable, and the shower has great pressure and hot water. I’m so glad I booked this place; it was perfect for my needs. Before booking, I was concerned about the basketball court noise as I’m sensitive to it. The house is right above a court used by the school in the morning and locals throughout the day. At 9 am, the school starts dance classes with music, and by 5 pm, locals have more classes. These end around 6 pm, and people play basketball until about 9 pm when it gets quiet. But when I had land sickness, it was hard to rest during the day. Since I left early and returned in the evenings, the noise didn’t bother me.

Jenny made us feel very welcome and really took care of us. The main beach of St. Cruz is just 100m away from the house. The house is perched at the end of the island, after this there is just sea. An oasis of tranquility, away from the tourists and the backpackers but still only a 5-10 min beautiful walk from restaurants and bars. Something entirely different for most but here you will relax.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Great communication before our stay and check in via the Hotel Cucuve was brilliant. The room is large and very clean with a comfortable large bed. The private terrace and use the of Hotel Cucuve sea side lounge area was a big plus, watching sharks, rays, turtles and birds whilst having a morning coffee. Amazing! It’s next to the Bahia Mar restaurant which we used several times (good value set menu lunch). We stayed 5 nights and would have loved to stay longer as we found the accommodation private yet close to the amenities in Puerto Ayora. It’s a short walk to the marina to get the ferries or day trips. We would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a land based visit to Santa Cruz and would love to return again one day. Great place, within walking distance of all the restaurants. Everything was in working order! Carlos was very communicative and responded to all our questions. Would stay there again!
