It features a stone fireplace, fire pit, lounge sofas, & dining tables. This cabin is private with lush woodlands around it and endless leisures like floating down the river in the summer sun or having a snowball fight as the flakes fall in winter. No matter the season, this cabin is perfect for family & friends to gather to enjoy each other’s company!

Wood River Retreat: Private Cabin Above the River

Extremely private wooded getaway nestled deep in the woods overlooking the Wood River, about an hour drive from the Twin Cities & 1.5 miles from the St Croix River. With many modern touches, it's still very much a cabin. Relax on the wood deck on top of the ravine or in the large screen porch. Get cozy by the wood-stove, the new sauna, fire-pit or swim in the river. Enjoy total seclusion or visit many local restaurants & parks with great hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, birding, and skiing.

Nordic Lake Cabin : Sauna/Hot Tub/Pontoon Rental

We finished building this modern Scandinavian cabin in spring 2020. It’s been featured in Vogue and on Magnolia Network. The cabin sits at the end of the road on a private lot with a perfect view of sunsets over the nature side of the lake. Drive past farm fields, into the woods, and onto our private gravel road, arriving at the driveway. Watch loons, tundra swans, eagles, beavers and deer while you relax by the lake. Pontoon boat rental is available as an add on! Pets welcome for a $90 fee!

The Cardinal Cabin

Our cozy cabin is located under tall pine trees on a beautiful, northern lake where loons and eagles frequent. Wood Lake is easily commutable - 80 miles from the Twin Cities. Swim and fish off the dock or pontoon during the day, and sit in front of the stone fireplace at night. The Cabin has been completely remodeled, with a modern kitchen and new furnishings. It is also equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi with access to many streaming services. The Cardinal Cabin is the perfect lakeside retreat!

Wooded acreage gives you privacy and the up north feeling, yet is less than 1 hour from MPLS, and 10 minutes from historic Pine City, a great place for you to shop and grab a bite. Near state parks for hiking, XC, snowshoeing, snowmobiling.

Our Nordic inspired A-Frame is known as the Stylle Hytte which is Norwegian for ‘Quiet Cabin’. Here you can take in 5 secluded acres of woods with trails winding down to the private riverfront. Only an hour north of the Twin Cities, enjoy modern conveniences like WIFI (60mbps), smart TV, complete kitchen, full bathroom, a bedroom and loft both with queen beds, a cozy living room with a real wood fireplace and an outdoor electric barrel sauna. Calendars are open 9 months in advance.

Bring your snowmobiles, ATVs and ice fishing gear as we are close to the Gandy Dancer Trails and our beautiful river flows to two lakes for great fishing - end at our bonfire pit to roast S'mores and swap stories!

The Royal River Run is the perfect place for a couple, small group, or family. Right along the Snake River, you can enjoy tubing, fishing, swimming, and more. Other perks include a basketball area and other outdoor games, fire pit, grill, outdoor seating, screened in porch, three bed, two bath, fully equipped kitchen, wood fireplace, internet, tvs, games for indoors, pet friendly, hammock, ample parking, onsite laundry. Whether you're interested in a relaxing get-away with the family, fishing Cross Lake (in summer or winter), hitting the casino (just a short 10 minute drive) or enjoying the nearby snowmobiling trails this cabin is a perfect fit.
