Overall we had a great stay here and would recommend it. Very nice property (it looks like the pictures), hosts are accommodating, kitchen is well stocked and the hot tub was hot and private. Emma ensured we'd all be comfortable and was proactive with communication. Would stay again!

My family of four stayed at Nyna's to attend a wedding over the Labour Day long weekend and enjoy some relaxation time at Rathtrevor Beach. The cabin had an absolutely perfect location for our purposes. It is an easy 20-minute walk to the beach, but we also drove to Rathtrevor whenever the kids insisted on bringing an excessive number of toys to play in the sand. The cabin itself was exactly as described and pictured. We were not entirely sure of our check-in time due to needing to pick up supplies on our way to the cabin, but Nyna still stuck around to welcome us in person upon our arrival and give us a personal tour of the place. She was an extremely responsive and helpful host. We would highly recommend her place to anyone wishing to stay in the area. Thank you, Nyna!

After staying in many airbnbs on Salt Spring, I can definitively say this is the best one to date. The location is central, the property is stunning, the amenities are exactly what you need and the hosts and caretakers are super supportive and responsive. Being on the lake is such a treat and provides stunning sunsets and beautiful morning views to enjoy your coffee. Access to paddle boards and canoes are great for sunny days. The furniture and décor and stylish and excellent quality which makes your stay that much more comfortable. We will definitely be returning!

Frogs croaking, cozy cabin, comfy beds! Building and managing fires was fun work. It was too bad the snow had melted but it was lovely anyways.

Great place to spend weekend in Parksville or even longer, the cottage has everything you need for long stay as well. Clean, super cosy, perfectly located. It took us 25 minutes walking to get to the beach with kids. Would happily stay here again!

Our stay at Madeira park was beyond our expectations. Gayle & Lee are great host for their guest. Also dogs get a warm welcome. We really loved everything about the accomodation, the vieuw, the bed, the cosy woodburner, the hottub, nice linnen, the styling. There was a nice welcome for us with artisan bread and jam. We really enjoyd the sunsetboattrip and getting to use the kajaks. What A beautiful arrival, the ambiance at night was magical, the views and atmosphere during the day were also very soothing, tranquil. Very eclectic accomodations, right down to the art in the suite.

Great location. Away from the highway and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, a short 1km walk, drive or bike to the public beach or local wooded area to take the dog for a morning or afternoon walk. Douglas and Kate are kind and responsive, always reaching out to make sure the stay is as positive as possible. The accommodation was quaint and cosy for 4 people. The single bathroom is quite small so keep that in mind. Everything was clean and organized and well laid out. We enjoyed spending our mornings drinking coffee or tea on a sun-kissed balcony, surrounded by the sound of birds and squirrels. The beds are really comfy and the dark and quiet nights made for restful sleeps. Would have loved to stay longer and enjoy a night out around the fireplace. Really appreciated the hospitality - would visit again for sure.

Wanda was an amazing host with one of the most beautiful and well kept properties we have seen. She was unbelievably accommodating and had the most lovely energy. We really enjoyed how spacious the cottage was, as well as all of the amenities — such as the well stocked kitchen and the thoughtful touches placed throughout the house. The gardens were extremely beautiful and she provided a propane tank for us when we decided to use the grill. We felt very welcome and loved the company of her dog dusty as well 💕 we would absolutely return for a serene getaway again!

We had such a lovely stay at Raquel’s place! Raquel was super responsive and easy to communicate with—she gave us lots of helpful info about the area, and when we ran out of pancake mix, she even brought us a new bag (so thoughtful!). The place itself is really cute and peaceful, with cows nearby and a sweet big black cat we got to meet. It’s in a great location too—right off the main road and just a minute away from a cider place we really enjoyed. The room was spotless and well equipped. We appreciated the selection of teas, the automatic coffee machine, and even dog biscuits—it’s clear a lot of care goes into making guests feel welcome. There were a few harmless ants here and there, but honestly nothing to complain about. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

Vilupti & Timothy are wonderful hosts and we were lucky to catch them on our visit. They were so welcoming and friendly and really made a difference. Their property is beautiful and truly special. The view at the water is so memorable and if you're looking for some peace and quiet this is the place. Just far away enough from everything but still not more than 20min from anything. Highly recommend this stay for families!

I came to the tiny seaside retreat looking for a beautiful place where I could disconnect from my life and get started on writing a novel, and I wasn't disappointed! It was perfect: cozy home, beautiful views and a great host to help me throughout my stay! Lauri was super responsive and helpful whenever I needed anything. The place was big enough for my needs and well stocked with everything you could ask for. I was nervous about the loft bedroom with the low ceilings, but I can honestly say I've never slept better in my life. I was grateful for the option of the fold out bed downstairs but didn't end up using it. Sitting out on the decks and writing each day while looking out over the water was heaven. I got to see one of the resident otters! I will definitely be a return visitor... I'm already planning it! Thanks so much for being so awesome, Lauri!

A great place to enjoy the coast for a weekend! Brett has done a superb job making the cabin cozy & welcoming. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to cook at home while staying here. The cabin is close to Sechelt for all amenities. We will be back in the summer!

Board and Barrel on the Beach is awesome! We really enjoyed the beachfront property and Amy and Chelsey made it super easy to get the lay of the land, giving us lots of ideas for nearby activities and restaurants. A well-stocked kitchen, great appliances, comfy bed, awesome stone floor shower. We didn’t take advantage of the sauna this time but will on our next visit! Love the wood stove, so cosy. Lots of places to sit outside to watch the gorgeous ever-changing ocean view- something we can do for hours. I have a secret fantasy of retiring to this area and though that may not materialize, I have a place I can come to and call home if only for a wee bit! Thanks so much for an awesome weekend ladies!

We had such a lovely stay at Gillian’s!! She is a fantastic host with so many great suggestions and the fresh baked bread and jam was an amazing touch. We loved laying in the hammock and listening to the birds and the bed was super comfy!! Was a perfect stay for our weekend getaway :-))

The Cabin was absolutely beautiful and is in a stunning location - peaceful and quiet and set amongst trees. We were there in winter and we were so cozy and comfortable - Tanya even had the fire going for us when we arrived. It's obvious that a lot of thought and care has gone into making this an easy and relaxing place to stay. The Cabin is very spacious and has multiple spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings, both indoors and out. Tanya was there to greet us and show us around when we arrived, had lots of helpful advice and made us feel really welcome. We were there for two nights and would have loved to stay longer if we could.

We absolutely loved this cute little cabin! Nice and private with everything we needed to enjoy our week on the Island. Our Host Mary was very helpful and checked on us via texts to make sure we were ok. We will definitely choose this place again when we come back! We highly recommend this place. Patti & Corrine’s place was exactly what we were looking for. You have a wonderful view of the ocean through the trees. Though there are other houses around you, it felt very private. There cottage is surrounded by trees & open grass to walk around. Waking up & ending the day to the sounds of birds was beautiful. We even saw a fawn on the property. They do have two cats which we only saw once & they were very friendly. The beach is a 2 min walk down a quiet street. The cottage itself is my dream home. It’s simple but homey. We loved the personal decor & book selections about the area & wildlife. We slept with the windows open to let in the cool ocean air. In the mornings I stood in the living room watching the sunrise through the giant window. I could have moved into their cottage if it was allowed. It was perfect. Patti was also wonderful at giving suggestions of things to do & explaining the ins & outs of the cottage. I highly recommend staying here! You won’t regret it!

Took my parents here for a long weekend trip. Property was absolutely beautiful and was even nicer and bigger in person. The inside was very clean and all appliances were well maintained. Vlado was a great host and replied quickly to messages. Even when a small issue occurred (that was out of their control) he tried to solve the issue immediately and apologized for the inconvenience. Lovely place overall, would definitely stay here again!

This log cabin was amazing!!! We were shocked at how beautiful the cabin itself and the surrounding area was. Margaret was an incredible host— she was so kind and provided lots of blankets and coffee and snacks and wood for the fire place which was a nice treat. The cabin was super cozy and clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom and kitchen specifically were stocked which was very useful because we were coming from out of town without many things. The property was beautiful and we saw deer and lots of bunnies, and there are dozens of trails to check out within walking distance. Some of the prettiest sceneries I’ve ever seen!! Would definitely recommend this cabin, it was a lot nicer than it even looks in the photos :)

Fantastic cabin with beautiful waterfront view! As previous reviews said, it’s fully fenced which is great for peace of mind for the dog! The pathway down to the water is definitely quite steep and with the overgrowth we didn’t attempt the walk down, so ended up driving a few minutes up the road for water access. The view is the best part of this place for sure! We had a lovely stay :)
