Cute and cozy little house! Very clean throughout, and had all the basics you might need. Great location to get downtown within a couple of minutes.

Everything was perfect! The location was close to everything we needed. The house was clean and organized. It was so chilly outside, we made some soup in the crockpot. We appreciated the containers to take our extras home! Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. The kitchen was well stocked and there were tons of towels in each room. The beds were cozy and the heat adjusted quickly. The two highlights were (1) the beautiful deck overlooking the river, where we saw a bald eagle and sandhill cranes migrating and (2) the game room, where we enjoyed family games of pool and poker. The house was 15 minutes from Starved Rock and 2 minutes from a grocery store, so the location was super convenient as well.

The place was exactly what we were looking for, to get away and do some spring hiking. Vanessa was great with communication.

We had a great stay. The house was very clean and had a great feel to it like you were right at home. Very private and peaceful. We will return for another stay here if in the area again. It was so close to all the places we wanted to visit. Thank you so much.

My daughter found this place for us to meet half way from each other. We arrived first and it was so clean and welcoming, even a nice bottle of wine. I’m very particular with cleanliness and it met my expectations. Everyone loved the quaintness of the house! Love the way they updated without taking away from the original look of everything. We totally loved the setting in the quiet woods and utilized the yard and the fire pit. The hot tub was a great plus, as the adults and kids alike enjoyed it! We made great memories here and will definitely consider staying here again!

Great spot if you have a group of ~8. We didn’t want for anything (plenty of dishes, filtered water, well stocked kitchen, ect) and everyone was able to be included in each space. Large dining table was great for sharing meals and playing games. After a long day of hiking the hot tub was a welcome addition and was very clean/well maintained.

Great place, very cosy, remote and peaceful. Full bed, lots of blankets, hot shower, kitchen stocked with utensils, and a lovely sitting room. This is an upstairs apartment from a home but it still feels private. Samuel gave us a tour of the farm- such an inspiring place, and a fascinating story. We were honored to visit and can’t wait to come back in the spring!

No complaints! Suggestion TV upstairs, more dishes (plates) would be nice and to have silver ware would have been good also. Lastly since I was staying with my daughter and her boy friend having a way to close door to bath area would be great. Will book again!

Positives- Cozy king-size bed and pillows. Jetted tub w comfy robes a plus! Enjoyed a bonfire at one of the fire pits available on the property. Amy responds very quickly to any questions! Microwave only and smaller fridge on-site so come prepared as needed for food/beverages/cookware. Only negatives-Not a lot of “lounging” furniture (more modern couch and wooden chair only in living room) and would be nice if there was a tv available in the loft area but not needed if you’re out hiking or site-seeing for much of your stay. Also probably would not have enjoyed ourselves as much if all cabins and units available were occupied. Quite a bit going on there between I’m guessing two city lots. Was nice to seemingly have the place to ourselves though! There are a number of restaurants in walking distance. We really enjoyed sandwiches from Bruce and Ollie’s for lunch. Overall great stay and would recommend as an alternative to Starved Rock Lodge or other Utica visiting needs.

it was nice, clean and modern. only 2 bedrooms and the second bedroom has 4 beds. 2 on the ground floor and 2 up in a loft. would have liked a bit more space but it's good.

Very nice place. I’d love to come back and try another cottage or stay in the same site. Clear instructions/communications. Perfect location/distance from highway (came from Chicago). Really good food nearby. Quiet time and privacy - great for a peaceful getaway to recharge and reconnect. Clean and organized space.

A wonderful cottage just a few minutes away from Starved Rock State Park. The cottage is very modern, private, and comfortable. Also, Amy is very friendly and extremely responsive to messages. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and private stay with plenty of room.

This place was great! The amenities were phenomenal and the space felt brand new. It was super clean too. You are super close to the downtown area as well.

Super clean and absolutely beautiful! This cabin is amazing and the perfect location to Starved Rock. The rooms are huge and amazingly clean! We would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay for our girls trip. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the deck, firepit and hot tub. We were only a 10-minute drive to the store if we needed anything. We are looking forward to our next stay we have booked this summer so we can enjoy the inground pool! Thank you!

This place was great. There isn’t much around here to do, especially in the winter, but we were looking to mostly disconnect from the outside world for a week and this was great for that. Aside from laundry there is really is everything you need to live here full time including a fully stocked kitchen with various helpful appliances like a crock pot and toaster stashed away but accessible. Perfect for a few days or a full week! It was a little dusty in some spots but otherwise clean and well kept. Had a great time. Hoping to come back when the weather is warmer and take advantage of the lake!
