The Magical Cabin on Back Creek

Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

Cabin by the River

Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Please expect no internet, a TV for DVD/CDs only and limited cell reception. Truly unplug & relax.

Cabin On The Creek

Set in the beautiful Alleghany Mountain Range, the Cabin On The Creek is a custom-built luxury cabin with amazing views and access to Potts Creek on a private wooded property. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.

Tiny Treehouse on Bent Mountain

Nestled high among the trees, our petite treehouse invites you for an adventure. On our expansive deck, you can grill and dine al fresco, amidst the trees. The nocturnal canvas comes alive with a stunning display of stars and luminescent fireflies in the summer. As dawn breaks, you may spot a bear or hear the gentle whisper of the creek where my grandmother used to frolic 90 years ago. Despite being in nature, you'll have access to a hot shower, a toilet, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker.

Four Fillies Lodge is an 84 acre private estate available for you to explore & enjoy. The View Modern Glass Cabin is a top of the line romantic cabin with modern amenities and huge windows for optimal views of the creek. Includes 1 King bed, 1 full bathroom, and a kitchenette. This is the perfect place to enjoy relaxation or adventurous activities such as fishing, hiking, caving, white water rafting, and so much more! Spend your mornings sipping coffee as sunlight filters through the woods, the afternoon exploring the property or nearby trails, then unwind with a soak in the hot tub as the sun dips behind the mountains.

The Cabin is a luxurious rural escape, with a 3-person hot tub. Located on a permaculture homestead and native plant sanctuary, the space overlooks the garden and is surrounded by forest. Natural/local materials were used throughout (built in 2023). For larger groups, check out the guest house next door (Airbnb: Guest House on Homestead near Floyd/Blacksburg). ~10 miles to Floyd, ~20 miles to Blacksburg, ~35 miles to Roanoke.
