We all really loved the charm and beauty of Driftwood. We knew we wanted the quiet authenticity of the Kalkara neighborhood but transport from there is still easy. This beautifully kept unique classic Maltese building is not only welcoming and cozy but also very efficient with everything provided for cooking, bathrooms, comfortable beds etc. The kids enjoyed their bunk bed accommodation and we grownups appreciated the luxury and style of the main bedroom. We don’t mind negotiating the flights of stairs - typical of a classic Maltese townhouse - but these might be tough on someone who’s mobility is challenged. We all agreed that we would be happy to return to Driftwood next time we’re in Malta👍🏽🥰

Michael is a great host! He explains everything very well before you arrive and he responds very quickly to any of your messages. He even facilitated an earlier check-in for us for free which happens so rarely these days, we really appreciated it. The place is beautiful, it’s located in a traditional Maltese building but the interior is very modern and has all the amenities. Definitely recommend!

If I could give 6 stars I would! GOZO was incredible. Excellent stay, everything was as described. Clean with everything you would need as a family of 5. The house was perfect in every way. I cannot recommend this house and host enough. Our best stay in Malta.

Un excellent séjour à Paola ! Nous avons passé un très bon moment dans cette maison bien équipée et fonctionnelle. Tout était propre, confortable et conforme à la description. La piscine est un vrai plus pour se détendre lors d’une journée off ou après une journée de visite. La localisation à Paola est idéale, la maison se trouve à proximité des arrêts de bus, ce qui permet de se déplacer facilement partout sur l’île. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la communication avec les hôtes, qui ont été très réactifs, disponibles et chaleureux tout au long du séjour. Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse pour découvrir Malte !

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und hatte alles, was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders die Außenbereiche waren ein Highlight. In direkter Nähe sind viele Essens- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und es ist ein optimaler Ausgangspunkt, um die Insel zu erkunden. Wir würden immer wieder kommen!

Frank's apartment is spacious and extremely well equipped. There are several outside spaces with plenty of seating.The location is near the ferry terminal and also close to buses which run to Victoria. From there you can get buses to elsewhere on Gozo. Frank is a most helpful host, he both picked us up from the ferry and took us back. As well as a bottle of wine, there was some food keeping warm in the oven when we arrived. Frank also took us to the local supermarket and gave us loads of information and suggestions of things to do. A great place to stay.

A really lovely place to stay right in the centre of MDina. We were met by Joanna who showed us around the house and told us about interesting places to visit close by. During the daytime, the city gets extremely busy with visitors so we enjoyed exploring early morning and in the evening when it was quiet! There is a frequent bus service from MDina gate to Valletta and other places, so it’s very easy to travel around the island. We highly recommend the accommodation and look forward to staying there again in the future .

Maison typiquement Maltaise ( soit haute/4 étages et mince) chaleureuse, hôtes acceuillants et pro actifs et surtout emplacement génial, au centre de tout ( bons restos, petites épiceries) et à 5 mns de marche de la Mdina. Il est très facile de se déplacer en bus local. Nous avons été aux Dinglis Cliffs ( au bord de la mer) en taxi et retour en bus local, très facile. Merci Le

Everything was great! The place was exactly as described and even better in person. It was clean, cozy, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Terrace for all guests on the roof! The host was welcoming and responsive, providing helpful tips, responded to messages so fast. The location was perfect – center of Naxxar, narrow streets with romantic vibes. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Malta, and I would love to stay here again. Thanks!

We had a great stay at this house. Four out of five bedrooms had an ensuite, and that was perfect when we were 11 people. The big pool was very nice too. Perfect for the kids and nice for the rest of us to cool off in. Only 5-10 minute walk to city centre Victoria. I can not find anything negative to say. Perfect house. Thank you!

Die Wohnung befindet sich in Floriana in einem sehr ruhigen und sicheren Wohnviertel. Die Innenstadt ist schnell zu Fuß erreichbar und der Weg dorthin sehr schön, wenn man durch die verschiedenen Parks geht. Unterhalb der Wohnung befinden sich kostenlose Parkplätze, die Wohnung ist von dort aus über eine Treppe erreichbar. Ein Teil der Wohnung befindet sich im Keller, insgesamt ist sie leider nicht besonders hell. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, es gibt einen Innenhof mit einem Tisch und zwei Stühlen (erreichbar durch das obere Schlafzimmer und das sich anschließende Badezimmer). In der Küche befinden sich eine nicht sehr bequeme Couch und ein Tisch mit drei Stühlen. Für zwei Paare ist die Wohnung eher nicht geeignet, für Familien mit Teenagern schon eher. Ein Vorteil sind auf jeden Fall die beiden Badezimmer. Die Betten sind bequem, es ist ruhig im Haus und man ist nah bei Valletta, ohne den dortigen Trubel. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und können die Wohnung empfehlen.

A friend, her adult daughter, and I visited Malta for 4 days, and Joelean's house proved to be the ideal base for our stay. Joelean was the perfect host; she picked us up at the airport and imparted a wealth of information and excellent recommendations as she drove us thru Valletta to the house. She was quick to respond late one evening when we had a small issue with the power going off. The beautifully restored historic house was well furnished, the beds comfortable, and the neighborhood very quiet at night. We enjoyed morning coffee on the small balcony. Easy walk to the bus terminal and the ferry port. Plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. As other guests have mentioned, the spiral stairs are narrow and initially a bit tricky to navigate. We opted not to sleep in the cellar bedroom, mostly to avoid the additional stairs, but it also seemed a bit musty. We staggered our showers to ensure enough hot water for the 3 of us. All in all, a great stay!

Lovely appartement! Excellent location, really close to water and St Elmo fort, also all restaurants and main street are 5 min walk!

Ho trascorso alcuni giorni fantastici a Malta e non potrei essere più soddisfatto della mia esperienza! La città è un vero gioiello, con i suoi meravigliosi paesaggi, la storia affascinante e l'atmosfera vivace. Ogni angolo offre qualcosa di unico, dalle stradine pittoresche alle splendide viste sul mare. L'alloggio in cui ho soggiornato è stato semplicemente perfetto. Era accogliente, pulito e ben attrezzato, con tutto il necessario per rendere il mio soggiorno confortevole. La posizione era ideale, permettendomi di esplorare facilmente le attrazioni locali. Un grande ringraziamento va a Pawlu co-host di Roberto il mio ospite, che è stato estremamente disponibile e gentile. Ha fatto di tutto per assicurarsi che avessi tutto ciò di cui avevo bisogno e ha fornito ottimi suggerimenti sui posti da visitare e ristoranti da provare. La sua ospitalità ha reso la mia esperienza ancora più speciale!

All the previous ratings weren’t kidding. The location in Birgu is ideal for exploring the area. Out of the maelstrom of Valletta but you can see it from the top floor and it’s a 5 minute ferry ride away. The ferry itself is a 2 euro harbour cruise into town. Birgu itself is an atmospheric enclave. As for the apartment, it’s equipped with everything and so clean you could eat off the floor. The only downside is the narrow spiral staircase of 4 stories. Leave something on the ground floor and it’s an excursion to go and retrieve it but that’s all in the description. I wouldn’t bother looking too much further for your charming digs in Malta

It was a privilege to stay in such an amazing location within the Cittadella. The house reflects the history of which it is a part. What accompanies that is the bell ringing every quarter of an hour. One should come prepared. Less abled people should be advised that it is an upward trek to the house and that there are many steps within. The property is ideally sited to visit all parts of the island of Gozo The host communications is very professional with clear instructions

Das Haus wurde von den Gastgebern Joseph und Natalie mit sehr viel Liebe und Hingabe renoviert und eingerichtet. Das Haus betritt man durch einen wundervoll bepflanzten Innenhof. Wenn man diesen betritt, fühlt man sich sofort in eine andere Welt versetzt. Es gibt stilvoll eingerichtet Innenräume mit modernem Badezimmer und moderner Küche. Die Wohnung war äusserst sauber und es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt benötigt. Das Haus befindet sich in Qala. Zu Fuss gelangt man in wenigen Minuten ins schöne Zentrum von Qala, welches eine Auswahl an Restaurants, Bars und einen Laden bietet. Joseph hat uns zudem Empfehlungen gegeben, was sich alles auf Gozo lohnt zu erkunden. Mit unserem Mietwagen konnten wir problemlos in der Nähe der Wohnung parken und konnten in etwa 10 Minuten den wunderschönen Strand von Ramla Bay erreichen. Wir lernten Joseph und Natalie kennen, zwei äusserst sympathische und engagierte Gastgeber. Es war ein absolut perfekter Aufenthalt.

Ich war mit meiner Frau das erste Mal auf Malta. Die Unterkunft von Derek liegt in einem ruhigen historischen Viertel mit Blick auf einige wunderschöne Kirchen. Es war fantastisch! Wir haben jede Minute auf der geschützten Sonnenterasse verbracht und die Sonne und den Mond genossen. Die Wohnung war sehr, sehr sauber! Geschäfte für den kleinen Einkauf und Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir haben für Ausflüge einen Kleinwagen am Airport gebucht. Parkplätze sind in der Nähe vorhanden. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Boendet var väldigt fint, fridfullt och bra beläget. Vi trivdes väldigt bra i detta fantastiskt fina hus. Trevligt poolområde och superbra hus. Trevliga grannar och enkelt att hitta parkering. Vi kan varmt rekommendera Connies hus och vill gärna återvända. Gozo är hur härligt som helst och stranden (Ramla) som ligger några minuter bort med bil var helt fantastisk! 🤩

A Wonderful Stay with an Amazing Host! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Ortrud's beautiful home, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, Ortrud was incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. The house itself is gorgeous and located in a central area, providing easy access to fantastic restaurants by the harbor. One of the highlights for me was the outdoor shower—what a treat! The home is well-equipped with all the amenities you could need. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like a wonderful selection of herbal teas in the kitchen and plenty of towels available. Ortrud truly went above and beyond when we misplaced a key; she addressed the situation promptly and ensured we had quick access back to the house. Overall, our experience was fantastic, and I would highly recommend staying at Ortrud's place if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed! --

A wonderful period house with its original features carefully preserved. High ceilings and huge rooms make the house both elegant and keep it at a comfortable temperature although there is air con, we did not need to use it. The rear patio area is delightful with a motorised awning for shade which was very effective and most welcome when the sun was overhead. We ate outside every day which was a treat for April compared to the UK. The location is very good with the sea, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Lidl is just up the road so handy for everything - even the heavy stuff like water bottles. Super restaurant just down the road called Lina's which was so good, we went twice. We had a lovely stay - thank you Susanna.
