Elsa greeted us from the start and gave us a full tour of the facilities (the place we were staying + guest kitchen + hot tub + washing area). The place is absolutely lovely and Elsa was so friendly. Highlights were meeting her cat, playing Elsa's old CDs on the kitchen sound system, enjoying the hot tub under the stars, and having Elsa's homemade bread for breakfast. Thank you so much for the stay Elsa!

Absolutely fantastic stay - the perfect break from a lot of road-tripping. Kitchen is fully equipped and loved being able to properly cook for a couple of nights. Felt at home immediately. Definitely didn’t want to leave!

This place is magical! One of the best places I’ve stayed in Iceland and one of my favorite airbnbs of all time. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable and the views are glorious. You can tell how much care Francesca and Giacomo put into these cabins and making their guests comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed, the hot tub was fantastic and we totally loved the sweet little scavenger hunt. Had the pleasure of meeting Giacomo as he stopped by with some treats and to check in on us. This place is really special, we didn’t want to leave!

This place was incredible, beautiful and peaceful. We had the hot tub and sauna to ourselves. The host was very responsive and even allowed us to comemuch earlier than our planned check-in time! Highly recommend this place!

Jon was very responsive, and he was very accommodating! The home felt comfortable. A couple of things to note, first is the doorways are short. My hubby is 6’3” tall and he hit his head on every door way. And that the only shower is outdoors. I missed that part of the listing. But I’m sure it’s an experience but we did not use it since we only stayed one night. The property and surrounding area is wonderful to explore! Overall a wonderful cozy stay!

We loved our one night stay in the cabin! Absolutely breathtaking views. The cabin has everything you could think of, even a heater and blankets so you can sit outside and admire the incredible surrounding. Would absolutely recommend this stay and stay here again. Thank you for having us!

Very nice cottage. We had much luck because it was very snowy this night and it was the last accommodation we could reach before the street N1 was closed. Very beautiful view on the river and the snowy landscapes, good Interieur.

The cabin was very nice and clean. There was a microwave which I used to heat up dinner from the grocery store in town. There are three cabins on the property and each I are staggered for privacy. Cabin #3 is slightly more private and has a slightly better view of the mountains. At night I was able to observe the Northern Lights break through the clouds set above the mountains. The cabin is quite modern and clean, not at all run down, and had good water pressure. No complaints at all about the stay, would stay again instead of a hotel in the town.

Die Unterkunft hatte wirklich eine tolle Lage und war sehr gemütlich. Schöne Umgebung, sehr ruhig und einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Perfekter Ort um Polarlichter zu beobachten und einfach zu entspannen. Einzige Anmerkung, da das Wasser über einen Boiler erwärmt wird ist der Wasserdruck sehr gering. Etwas abenteuerlich beim Duschen aber nicht weiter hinderlich. Wir würden definitiv wiederkommen.

Beautiful and peaceful setting, impeccably clean and comfy, very well stocked kitchen and bathroom. My husband and I had a wonderful weeklong stay in this spacious cabin. It's in a perfect location to explore east Iceland. Highly recommend!

Prachtig huisje in een prachtige omgeving. Het huisje is schoon en ruikt nog heerlijk naar hout. Alle benodigdheden om te kunnen koken zijn aanwezig. Een aanrader!
