Gollum's Cave (duplex) Now w/late checkout Sundays

Come experience sleeping in a cave without actually roughing it! Located in the back of the Hobbit, the Cave has its own private entrance under the leaf canopied patio. *Please no smoking of any kind in our home or near the door *($250 fine)* You will be greeted by a lantern hanging among the stalactites and vines and a set of stairs leading down into the cave. An indoor gas fireplace, a 50" smart TV, full kitchen, tiled shower, & queen memory foam mattress all guarantees a magical stay!

Dog-friendly ground-floor room, 2 comfy twins

This cozy downstairs room in the Milkweed Mercantile includes two twin beds and is our only dog-friendly room. The room has an exterior entrance and includes access to a shared shower and hassle-free composting toilet in common space just outside your door. The Mercantile is a beautiful strawbale building with solar power, filtered rain water, high speed wifi, as well as air conditioning and fireplace in public spaces. Breakfast can be included for a small fee if arranged in advance.

The Meadow - Modern Strawbale on 10 Private Acres

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Meadow house, a modern strawbale home, is surrounded by creeks and woodlands on ten secluded acres. Explore the surrounding woods, relax on the spacious deck and take in the stars, and plan adventures in nearby Lawrence and at Perry Lake Inside the home, curl up in a peaceful corner to enjoy a book, challenge family and friends to various games in the rec room, and enjoy meals from the modern kitchen with all the amenities.

This unique vacation rental is geared for a fun home base for families & friends looking to explore the Fayetteville area. When not lounging at the shire watching birds, Eagles, deer & other wildlife head out to explore many special local attractions!

Straw Clay Cabin on a Sustainable Farm

This Earthen house is made of sand, straw and clay. Nestled in a valley it is a peaceful and unique getaway. The cabin has four comfortable single beds and electricity, a wood stove for winter. Outside a fire pit and grill. A hand washing sink inside; and port-o-let toilet outside. You may be able to drive in (weather/road condition depending). It is a short walk to our Bakery (Sat. 9 am until 2 pm) Please arrive before dark. We are LGBTQ owned and operated. BIPOC welcome.

The Gnome Dome

The Gnome Dome is located at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage, an intentional community of about 50 people focusing on environmentally friendly living. About the Dome: • Tiny. Space to think, sleep, be. • Quaint. Built into a prairie hillock, could just as well be called the hobbit hole! • Comfortable. Wired. Resilient to heat and cold. • Customized. The Stone Cabin

Nestled in the Ozark Hills, we offer guests a secluded place to unwind and enjoy nature. We offer guests an off-the-grid style experience with no electricity or flushing toilets. The property has running hot water, an outhouse, and propane lights. The cabin is accessible by a gravel trail. Four-wheel-drive, or high-profile two-wheel drive vehicles are needed to get to the cabin. We must greet all guests upon arrival to show you how to utilize the propane lights.

This historic stone cabin was originally part of the YWCA Camp Miramichee which was founded in 1916. It was built in the 1940s and renovated in 2019. G-ma and Pa's Hobbit Home

Come spend a night underground! This unique home is a rural, restful spot with friendly hosts. We are located 8 minutes from Menomonie and 20 minutes from Eau Claire on US highway 12 & 29 parallel to Interstate 94, providing easy access to the freeway. We have one private room available with one private bathroom. The bedroom includes a queen bed and a full size mattress in the loft (ladder access). The remaining spaces are shared with the host.
