The Bakoni Hide-Away is an off-the-grid retreat, ideal for a romantic getaway for lovers of the African bush. Unfenced, it is set on a remote spot on the side of a mountain with abundant birdlife, buck and other game around. The design was inspired by the many stone circles that occur in this region and the Bakoni people who are believed to have roamed the area in the past. It is ideal for couples and 2 older children can be accommodated on the mezzanine floor if privacy is not a requirement.

The mountain cottage is a unique, remote and romantic place to disconnect, enjoy spectacular sunsets followed by an evening of star gazing. High up in the Waterberg mountains this eco cottage operates on solar power and relies on rain water harvesting, whilst battery operated lamps are provided for light. The cottage is best reached by 4x4 or high clearance vehicle; alternatively arrange for us to fetch you at the gate to take you. Join us and switch off, very limited connectivity only.

Located in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, it has the attraction of being close to the restaurants and shops of Hoedspruit whilst providing access to the Greater Kruger & the Blyde River Canyon. Self catering 3 bedroom , 2 bath cottage for 5 situated in secure and scenic Critchley Complex. Open plan lounge, dining and kitchen. Fireplace, 2 TV's with full DStv bouquet and outside weber braai. No pets and no children under 13. Keys can be collected at Harrie's Pancakes before 17:00. For late arrivals alternative arrangements must be made.
