Located on 42 acres, this custom-built cabin has all the ammenities of home, while offering access to hiking trails, ATV & biking trails, water fallls, fishing lakes, beaches & all that the lakeshore has to offer. Guest can explore Grand Island or take a sunset cruise out of Munising Bay, 5 miles west of the cabin.

The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. Hungry Hippie Hostel now has Camping + Glamping! Our canvas wall tents are waterproof and super cozy! Our version of Glamping includes: the 8'x16' tent, decking (with screened in porch), comfy mattress and breathtaking views of Lake Superior. Also included- a campfire ring + picnic table at each of our glamping sites. Tents are located within 200 feet of our brand new shower house. The shower house is divided into mens & womens spaces. Each space having two showers, three toilets and two sinks.
