The Bakoni Hide-Away is an off-the-grid retreat, ideal for a romantic getaway for lovers of the African bush. Unfenced, it is set on a remote spot on the side of a mountain with abundant birdlife, buck and other game around. The design was inspired by the many stone circles that occur in this region and the Bakoni people who are believed to have roamed the area in the past. It is ideal for couples and 2 older children can be accommodated on the mezzanine floor if privacy is not a requirement.

There is full cellphone reception at the house. a High rise vehicle is recommended and a 4x4 when wet.

Numerous waterfalls on the way to the Blyde River Canyon with spectacular viewpoints. The Kruger Park is a mere 58 km away on safe roads entering at the Phabeni Gate Close enough for a day drive to spot the Big Five. Sabie has all the essential shops, supermarkets and excellent restaurants.

Self-Catering/Pet Friendly

This old favorite, offers panoramic views, tranquility, and privacy. It boasts a fenced garden and spacious stoep for braais and sundowners. Adventure seekers can hike the mountain for a breathtaking vista. IMPORTANT: Regrettably, the Stone Cottage lacks electricity due to transformer damage from a recent storm. The repair timeframe is unknown, but we have a generator on hand for your convenience. We apologize for this inconvenience and assure you that we're pursuing alternatives.

The Lodge is as fully equipped comfortable north facing 4-bedroom, 8 beds, 4.5 bathroom house, arranged around an open plan living, kitchen, bar area centred by a magnificent fire place. Outside is a magnificent veranda with built in barbecue. All of this arranged in such a way to ensure comfort and privacy for you, your family and guests. The state of art insulation, double glazing and in-room air conditioning has been installed to ensure cool summer days and warm winter nights.

Holingsberg River Cottage is an exclusive Self Catering River Fly Fishing destination for the serious Fly Fisher The chalet is upmarket and private, and situated on a working farm yard. The kids are welcome to interact and learn about the farm animals. The fly fisher has 1.5km of river front. Enjoy the splendid view from the patio while preparing dinner, relaxing around a fire, and discuss the catch or trail ride of the day. The cottage has solar back-up.

African Leaves Trout Lodge is regarded as an excellent fly-fishing location, is a part of the ‘Zuikerboschhoek Bewarea’ and is home to wildlife that frequents the mountain range. There is a natural waterfall and 2 km’s of natural river running through the forest on the property. There are two houses situated on the property - Oak House and Silo Lodge. We are pet friendly for up to 4 small to medium sized breed dogs, which must be well trained.
