The apartment was built on the site of a carpet factory which wove the carpets for the titanic ship. It has it's own private entry, with stairway leading to living, kitchen and bedroom. It is decorated in a contemporary style. It is designed for 2 but sofa bed in living/ kitchen can sleep 2. note 1 bathroom accessed through only bedroom.

Welcome to Villa Maria, a self contained 1 bedroom guesthouse in the beautiful village of Castletown, just outside of Portlaoise. The guesthouse is ajoined a private residence but has seperate entrances. The place has an open plan kitchen/dining, living room, main bathroom and utility room with washing machine and dryer for convenience. There is free parking at the premises. Situated 2 min from Exit 23 off the M7 Motorway on the outskirts of the village of Moneygall where the pub and shop are within walking distance. It provides a wonderful base for exploring the heart of the country while also allowing further journeys to some iconic tourist sites.
