Apart from downhill skiing and cross country skiing (the FIS Nordic Combined season kicks off in Ruka) there are numerous hiking trails, including the famous Karhunkierros (Bear's Round), crosscountry ski &snowmobile routes, biking routes, fishing, bird watching, bear watching and also ample time to enjoy a sauna and peaceful silence.

Mökki sijaitsee lähellä patikointi- ja retkeilymahdollisuuksia kuten Pientä Karhunkierrosta (10km) ja Rukaa (n.18km).Mökki on sähkölämmitteinen ja käytössä on kompostoiva, siisti ulkowc.Juoma- ja käyttövesi saadaan pihapiirissä olevasta sähköpumpulla toimivasta kaivosta.
