Unwind at Surveyor’s Cottage, a quiet seaside hideaway where water, sky, and mountain views meet at your doorstep The cottage is modest, with all you need for a comfortable stay — two bedrooms, full kitchen, and a wood fire with plenty of firewood to keep you warm. There’s coffee to start the day, and space to sit, read, and watch the light dance across the water. This is a place to slow down. Walk straight to the beach, linger on the deck at sunset, or fall asleep to the rhythm of the waves.

Chambls Shack

Chambls Shack provides wanderers with a slow stay, overlooking the sandy beach at Verona Sands. Chambls is a genuine shack experience, complete with 1970’s kitchen, open fireplace and light shades. Plenty of wobbly bits and sloping floors, but we’re watertight, warm and a whole load of fun. Situated 1 hour from Hobart via Huon or Channel, Chambls welcomes travellers who want to truly relax and revisit the 70’s in luxe linens, open fire and a bottle of red. Or bring the kids and hit the beach.

Our cosy and humble cabin - an old pickers hut from the farm's previous life as an apple orchard - is located in the stunning Huon Valley, with views across the stunning Huon River to the snow capped mountains of the Southwest. You would be hard pressed to find a more peaceful outlook for your morning coffee or afternoon wine as you take in the open skies and the local wildlife. Just a few minutes from the charming village of Cygnet and its many great cafes and shops.

This contemporary three-bedroom shack sits right on the water's edge at Eggs and Bacon Bay, with private stairs leading straight down to the beach below, so a swim is a five-minute walk rather than a drive. The sweeping balcony at the front of the property takes in the bay and the view beyond, all the way to the mountain that frames Hobart. It's the kind of place a proper getaway was built for, whether you're after sand between the toes or simply a chance to switch off.

You will love our place because of the tranquil white beaches surrounded by picturesque farmland. Wilderness World Heritage Area, including the Hartz Mountains National Park, Hastings Caves Thermal Springs & the Ida Bay historic railway are at your doorstep & the drive from Hobart will take you through the beautiful Huon Valley.

Taylors Cottage: Gracing the shores of Little Taylors Bay is a fisherman cottage with a twist, commonly known as the round house because of its unique design features; Taylors Cottage looks out towards, Huon Island and the DEntrecasteaux Channel. Here, you can sit on the deck and enjoy the tranquil waters of Little Taylors Bay, just as the great explorer Baudin and the crews of the -Geographie- and the -Naturaliste- did in 1802.
