Hilo: apartamentos para aluguel por temporada

After our original accomodation fell through, we booked Marcos' place for two nights. Marcos and his family are very friendly hosts who shared fruits from their trees with us, as well as kitchen items from their own house for us to use, including fresh jalapenos and hot sauce that we used for our dinner! The place was enough room for 2 adults and 2 children (aged 12) and has a very large TV. The only downside was that the bathroom was located outside in another building but since we were in Hawaii we didn't mind, it would be the same distance as walking down a hallway.

Diana was wonderful, checking in to ensure everything was going well. She also responded quickly to all questions/concerns. We would welcome Diana as a host again.

We loved our stay. And Mike was the perfect and most friendly host. We’d stay again anytime we were in Hilo. Great for a group. Also nice touches like coffee tumblers that you could take out for the day, cooler and other thoughtful small things that make a big difference when you’re on vacation.

We appreciated the chance to stay in downtown Hilo! The apartment was as described and served our purposes well!

Nadia was an amazing host, the place was great, and we would happily stay here again if we return to Kalapana. We were two adults traveling with an infant to spend a month of our parental leave exploring the Big Island. The place itself was a quiet retreat with beautiful surroundings, and a garden where we could pick fresh lemons, limes and herbs. The neighborhood is peaceful and just a short walk to the Kehena black sand beach, or short drives in any direction to other tide pools or parks for ocean access on the rocky lava coast. The nearest big town of Pahoa is about 20 minutes away and had all the services you could need, including a nice market with lots of local, fresh produce and fish. The bigger city of Hilo is about an hour away with larger stores. The broader area is less touristy than other parts of Hawaii, but it still has a few eclectic spots to visit. If you're comfortable being off the beaten path and you like DIY travel, then you'll enjoy this place as much as we did.

This place was clean, well stocked ,we loved the pool and beautiful yard and deck! Michelle had plenty of recommendations and was always reachable. I would stay again and can recommend !

Susie and Lester were such great hosts. The home was very quiet with a good location for exploring the west side of the island and close proximity to downtown Hilo. The property was great for our family with ample outdoor space and a garden. Our toddler loved running around the property, picking fruit and herbs from the garden. We had great conversations and recommendations from Susie and Lester. Overall great experience, we can’t wait to come back.

I enjoyed my stay at Denise's house. We didn't spend much time there except for sleeping, but it's a sectioned off quarter on the 1st floor of Denise's massive property. The AirBNB space was very large, 2 massive bedroom suites, a living room, and good sized kitchenette. It was very clean, tile floors, and a very pleasant place to stay. There are other people living on the property (I think her and her family), but the space felt private and I never felt bothered.

Beautiful location! Faces and oversees the ocean. There's a small mart nearby (a two minute drive) from the farm that has most things you'll need without having to drive out to a city. Owners supplied the majority of what we needed, including pots and pans, utensils, and some spices. They also provided us with a half dozen of farm fresh eggs! Lots of farm life, including chickens, geese, geckos, etc. Highly recommend this location!

The place was just what we expected. It was clean and tidy upon arrival and suited our needs perfectly. Location is close to downtown so it offered plenty places to eat. The kids enjoyed the pool, which was a plus. Overall it was a nice place that we’d use again.

Fantastic little spot in Volcano! We were minutes away from the park and woke up early to see the eruption. Make sure to bring in drinking water, as we forgot but luckily found a spot in town to buy some :). I’d definitely book again!

Great spot in the heart of Hilo + AC! Samuel and team were a great help and made the trip even better.

Beautiful area, so close to Volcanoes NP, cooler temps very welcome compared to lower elevations. Lots of birdsong (including some roosters) and frogs. Far enough from the highway that noise was not at all intrusive, but super easy to get to the highway. Close enough to Volcano Village for gas/shop/food, and close enough to the park for quick trips (early morning, or night trip to watch the lava glow - or, if you are very lucky, an eruption). Owners very nice and made great neighbors. Do be sure to bring your own drinking water - most places in the area catch rainwater for non-drinking use.

This is a beautiful downstairs unit on the same property as the host and their family. Although we were on their property, we still had privacy. The yard is HUGE with a trampoline, jacuzzi and volleyball net. The unit was clean and had everything me and my husband needed. Levi and his wife were super responsive and helpful. I would definitely come back.

Great old Hawaiian B&B. We had a fairly plain room, which we expected for the price, but it was clean, and the main rooms with the delicious breakfast and the beautiful surrounding garden made up for it. Perfect location minutes from Volcano National Park.
