Really nice place. Lovely and peaceful and just what we needed

The yurt was a cozy and comfortable place to make loads of great memories with our family. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and the accommodations and location felt magical. Our family enjoyed the easy walking trails, campfires, and the hot tub overlooking the mountains. We highly recommend this special spot!

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wonderful and peaceful studio cottage 15 minutes outside of Shenandoah National Park! The cottage was well furnished (great selection of books and games in the bookcase; cozy bedding and comfortable bed) and well stocked (towels, toiletries, a thoughtful basket of snacks). The pond on the property (along with deck and kayaks) also added to the the serenity. Liam and Paige provided great recommendations (early hike at South River Trail; Exchange Cafe for dinner) and were quick to respond with any questions I had! If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay while visiting Shenandoah -- this is it, hands down!

What a fantastic place! I stayed with my partner and a couple of friends at Gigi’s farm for my birthday/NYE, and we had a great time—excellent communication with Gigi and Mike, beautiful property, great amenities, and thoughtfulness in every detail. We were extremely thankful for the extra gifts to make our New Year’s celebration memorable. We’ll be back, and we have already shared this listing with others who need a nice escape from DC. This was a perfect rustic weekend getaway for two sisters. It felt like we were at camp, especially enjoying the sounds of birds and trees from the screened in porch. Be mindful that the porch has friendly harmless bugs as you are deep in the woods and the screen doors have gaps. The corner deep tub is shower only- not an issue for us. There are lovely little trails to enjoy on the property- a huge plus for us. Great for birders!! We also enjoyed the drive to Big Meadows and Skyland on Skyline drive. We will come again.

We loved using the pool and the patio/grill area. The view and the landscaping are beautiful. The owner was helpful and responsive; she supplied firewood and charcoal. Plenty of dining space both indoors and out. Good A/C.

We had a large group at the compound by the swinging bridge for New Years and it was absolutely ideal! We played games by the fire place, cooked delicious meals, relaxed in the sauna and hot tub, danced and watched movies in the game room, laughed around the fire pits, played frisbee in the lawn, and watched an incredible double rainbow over the river after a thunderstorm. The beds were very comfortable and the vibe was cozy and lived in. Taki was great to communicate with and we’re very thankful to him and his family for creating such a sanctuary. We definitely hope to return!

Our family of four spent two nights at Callie's Cottage. We had a great time enjoying the trails, fishing the pond, and watching the horses. Our kids had a lot of fun playing in the treehouse. The house was cozy, clean and well appointed.

Gail’s home was beautiful, clean and still homey. She clearly cares a lot about her home and the guests’ experience. The home was beautifully decorated and the hot tub and fire pit were so enjoyed by our family coming from the city (I’m sure the pool would have been as well, but we came over Thanksgiving). The kitchen was well stocked and the home was convenient to Charlottesville while still feeling like a country home (my kids called it “the mountain house”). Gail was easy to communicate with and very accommodating to our baby’s nap schedule. Highly recommend.
