Plenty of FREE firewood for the firepit for relaxing around a fire in the evening under the stars. Maple Leaf is centrally located 1 hour or less to U.P. attractions. South Manistique Lake which is 2 miles north of cottage. You can access the trails from the south of cottage 300 feet on a scenic trail in the woods about 2 miles turn left or right to find the trails.

We are about 1/2 mile from Highway 2, 8 miles to Lake Michigan beaches, and within 1 hour to most Eastern U.P. attractions including Tahquamenon Falls, Lake Superior, Oswald’s Bear Ranch, Pictured Rocks, Big Springs ( Kitch-iti- Kipi) or the Mackinac Bridge and Mackinac Island. Owners live on the premises and will usually be in the area should problems arise.

We have just added an outdoor sauna to this fabulous cabin in the woods behind our house. Although there is only 1 proper bedroom there is a sleeping loft with a queen size bed and window overlooking the hardwood forest. We also have a pull-out couch. Guests have complete privacy and everything provided for a comfortable stay This is a cabin with peaceful relaxation in mind....no loud parties or anything of that nature. Come and enjoy northern Michigan's beauty in all seasons.

The cabin is very close to The North Country Trail & The North Western State Biking & Snowmobiling Trail. Property includes full access to cabin, fire pit, charcoal grill and yard. We are offering our newly remodeled studio apartment accessible thru the three car garage adjacent to our vacation home. Located in the heart of McMillan near the intersection of M-28 and County Rd 415. Just a few feet from some of the most accessible snowmobile/ORV trails located in the UP. Only minutes drive from restaurants/local grocery/gas/amenities.

The Cabin

Our cabin is conveniently located directly across from the groomed snowmobile trail. Centrally located for easy access to Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, the Soo Locks, and Oswald's Bear Ranch. Midway between Lakes Superior and Michigan with many inland lakes. New flooring and a full size fold out couch were added in the beginning of 2025. We can now accommodate 5-6 guests.
