Tan's retreat is among the most unique and welcoming properties I have ever encountered. Our family of 6 stayed with Tan for two nights. We have two teenagers and two young children. We were looking for a peaceful escape from the city and this is exactly what we found. The property was designed with extreme care and is maintained meticulously. The food is impossible to describe - every ingredient fresh, locally sourced, prepared with attention to detail and gorgeous presentation. One of our family members had special dietary requests and the staff went out of their way to honor those and serve him with kindness. My husband was invited to climb a ladder and cut down several coconuts right outside our room, from which we all drank fresh coconut water and then ate the meat. The most notable part of our stay was getting to know Tan, hearing his life story and learning so much about Vietnam's history, culture, and prospects for the future. We cannot recommend this stay highly enough!

Sehr idyllisch, tolle Unterkunft mit tollen Ausflügen

Ganz tolle Unterkunft! Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße und hat einen sehr schönen Gemeinschaftsbereich mit großer, üppig bewachsener Terrasse, Küchenecke, Sofa, Esstisch. Alles ist sehr hübsch eingerichtet, das Zimmer selbst war geräumig, sauber und bequem, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Truc war wirklich immer ansprechbar und hat versucht, uns bei allem bestmöglich zu helfen. An einem Tag haben wir eine schöne Tour mit den zwei Rädern gemacht, die es hier kostenlos gibt (ca. 15 - 20 Minuten bis ins Zentrum, dann über den Fluss und immer Richtung Osten), an einem anderen eine Bootstour. Als sie das Homestay für ein Familientreffen benötigte, hat Truc uns bei ihren sehr gastfreundlichen Eltern einquartiert. Insgesamt liegt die Unterkunft zwar etwas weit ab vom Schuss, ist dafür aber wunderschön, und mit Grab kommt man jederzeit gut überall hin. Absolute Empfehlung!

I had an absolutely magical time at Thuan's place and can't recommend it enough!! The home is tucked away in a peaceful and gorgeous corner of the Mekong Delta, with fruit and flower-filled nature all around. Thuan made every effort to ensure I was never bored but also had space and taught me tons about the local community. He took me on a bike ride through the countryside to observe the harvesting of coconuts, the way it is processed, the local temple and more. He took me to a local seamstress who made beautiful clothes thanks to his translations. And he took us on a multi-stopped boat tour through the delta, going from peaceful little waterways, down the main river, with dinner in a delicious restaurant on the waterfront. I also spent a lot of time with Thuan's American sister and her teen. They are so wonderful, so warm, welcoming, joyful and fun. And their love for and knowledge of Ben Tre is evident in everything they share. I feel very lucky to have stayed here. Highly recommend!

Very nice accommodation, I can certainly recommend you to stay there! The room was clean and spacious, WiFi worked well. There is a common kitchen that I used often. The location is a bit far away from the city centre of course but it can reached by walking (around 25-30 minutes) or you can rent a scooter from the hosts or take a bicycle. Nearby there are people selling eggs, vegetables, meat and there are family restaurants as well. Plus in the homestay they offer some food too and there are various item on the menu including some vegetarian options. The hosts were very very helpful - they replied immediately to any question that I had and resolved all issues. Plus they organised a ride to My Tho for me for a reasonable price. The only downside which is not really related to the accommodation is that right across the road there is a store where they sell sound systems and I was unlucky to listen to extremely loud karaoke one evening and one morning he turned on disco music at 6.30am

We were very satisfied with our stay, the service was really great, the room spacious and clean. I will plan to stay in the room again.
