Pete's Castle is not for the person that wants a Hyatt Hotel vacation. His castle is the town and the castle is the kingdom. Full of life, merriment, history, happy wishes, music and a reminder of days long gone yet still being carried on. His restoration work is magnificent. So well thought out and in some instances with humor. Pete and Eva were the very best hosts ever and we wanted to stay longer but I had a Callan harp (which is also located in Craughwell) to take home! It is the perfect place to celebrate life!!!! to share with friends and family!!! You can't sum up the love in that home in this post but you can't possibly leave there feeling like you've been touched by magic. We miss you already Pete and Eva and your family and the kitties and birds too! You have made a magical kingdom full of hope, laughter, love and humor. I feel so very fortunate to have met you and can't wait to return next year with a new song!

In einer alten Kirche zu schlafen ist schon etwas besonderes. Das Haus ist mit soviel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, das man sich nur wohlfühlen kann. Ola hat uns ein fantastisches Frühstück bereitet, worauf man sich am zweiten Tag schon wieder gefreut hat. Es ist abgelegen und ruhig, in Mitten der Natur einfach traumhaft. Wenn wir nochmal nach Irland reisen kommen wir bestimmt wieder zu euch. Danke Chris und Ola für die schönen Tage bei euch.

Alan's place is accurately described. It is a work in progress in some areas but it was still well worth the stay. The castle is quite unique, and Alan was extremely friendly.

Alan described it just well. Gregg was exactly what I thought it would be. We chose this stay because of the charm that we knew it would offer. Thank you again Alan and I wish you the best in your next venture. Hopefully we are able to return when everything has transitioned. Will be amazing to see it.

Beautiful, unique, historical- this castle is truly one of a kind. Karen was a welcoming host, and the property was so peaceful, yet convenient to Galway and the Burren. Our stay in Kilcolgan was a highlight of our trip.

Staying at Carraigin Castle was one of the best stays of my life! The location was so beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. It was hard to choose which spot to have my morning coffee as there were so many gorgeous spots to choose from! The castle is so cozy. We loved sitting around the fireplace in the evenings. Tina the caterer made the most delicious dinner for us during our stay and provided a lovely welcome basket. I would absolutely stay here again and I definitely will be recommending Carraigin Castle to my friends and family.

It was a dream come true to stay at Kilshanny Castle. We loved having the castle and grounds all to ourselves. It was so nice and convenient to be able to cook a meal together in the fully stocked kitchen. Although the castle is very authentic, we appreciated the hot water for showers and the toilets. It was my daughter’s 11th birthday and we celebrated by dressing up in the medieval costumes and took pics and stayed up till midnight so she could open her birthday presents. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience for my husband, myself and my children.

Abbey Room was huge and gorgeous. Charming views of the castle tower. Beautiful and comfortable bed. Awesome bathroom with claw foot tub. Easy to relax and unwind. Bus stop nearby for a quick 20-25 minute ride into Galway. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again!

I had a great experience at Claregalway Castle. I highly recommend it. The room was amazing, staff were very helpful, and the added complimentary breakfast put this experience over the top. If you’re looking for a relaxing place to stay that’s a short bus ride from Galway, this is it.

We enjoyed everything about Claregalway Castle! Our host, Gerry, was so helpful and accommodating. We loved our room and appreciated all the special touches. It was a delightful experience.

Very comfortable place to stay. Clean, warm, spacious and in an absolutely fabulous location for walks and exploring Connemara. Ballynahinch Castle in walking distance for a lovely meal out, although best to drive (4min) in the evening as the roads/pathways are unlit.

Gorgeous historically accurate castle with modern renovations, conveniently located 15 minutes from Galway, and situated on a beautiful river with exceptionally friendly staff. Included a perfect continental breakfast as well as a free tour of the castle, including the reconstructed tower. Modernized windows make the bedrooms virtually soundproof.
