We LOVED our stay at Amila’s family’s Homestay. In fact, it was the most special and our trip’s favorite. The family was super welcoming and the surroundings were gorgeous and serene. We woke up every morning to watch the sunrise on the lake. It is also really close to the historical sites in Dambulla and Sigiriya. Amila’s brother Chamika helped us with transportation from the airport and around the Homestay and Amila’s mom cooked us delicious Sri Lankan food in their traditional kitchen. Also the price is unbeatable. We HIGHLY recommend their place!

Gayan’s property was amazingly serene and peaceful. Host was very responsive and prompt in her actions. Morning breakfast offered by Gayan was the best meal I had during my visit to Srilanka. This place is highly recommended if you want to have some ‘Me’ time away from hustle bustle of crowded hotel and properties.

Madara et sa famille sont très accueillants et pleins de recommandations pour les alentours. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les petits déjeuners locaux et le repas (que nous lui avions demandé en plus). Il est facile de se déplacer grâce aux tuktuk. Nous recommandons ce logement.

We were lucky enough to stay in the treehouse for three nights. Great host, great location and terrific accommodation. Was particularly wonderful to throw oneself in the pool after a hot sweaty excursion day. The food was fantastic. Wouldn't change a thing

Magical experience staying in this beautiful treehouse. Surrounded by nature—peaceful and refreshing escape. The design was cozy, rustic, and very charming. Anu's mother went the extra mile to make dinner for us as we couldn't arrange for food on a rainy night. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unplug and relax!

What an amazing hidden gem. Our hosts could not do enough for us and we stayed an extra day. They organised a tuk tuk tour that included Sigiriya and Dambulla and other local beauty spots and also a safari to nearby Hurulu Eco Park where we saw lots of elephant. The house location is perfect overlooking the lake. We stopped at a restaurant that provided Take Away for our dinner and breakfast was provided. Would love to return but hope others have as much enjoyment as we did and 100% recommend.

We had an incredible stay at Dhanushka's place near Lion Rock. The location is perfect, with stunning views of the jungle and Lion Rock from the terrace—a truly magical experience. Dhanushka welcomed us with a refreshing drink upon arrival, which was a lovely touch after our journey. Throughout our stay, he was extremely kind and helpful, going out of his way to assist us in planning activities and exploring Sigiriya. The breakfast he prepared for our group of five was fantastic—delicious, fresh, and more than enough to fuel us for the day ahead. The house is clean, comfortable, and ideally located for anyone visiting Lion Rock or the surrounding area. Dhanushka's hospitality truly made our trip special. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Sigiriya. Thank you, Dhanushka, for making our trip unforgettable! 😊

Our stay at Owl Lodge significantly surpassed our expectations. I have used Air bnb for years and can truly say I have never experienced hospitality like this - we were treated like family and were genuinely sad to leave. The freshly prepared food using locally grown produce was exceptional, the property itself is beautiful and the views and surrounding nature are magical. But above all, the people are what made this stay so special. Lucky went above and beyond to show us the best of Anuradhapura and it was a privilege to spend the morning with Dr Prasanna and his lovely family over at Owl Perch. Thank you so much to everyone who looked after us and for making our stay feel so special.
