Welcome to our cottage on the lake! We renovated this home through the spring of '18 and are so thrilled to have it ready for you! Sitting less than 30-feet from the sandy bottom of Bass Lake, this house is a charmer in all seasons. In the winter months, enjoy snowshoeing across the lake and come home to a cozy fire. Centrally located in Ellsworth near Torch Lake, Charlevoix, Elk Rapids, and Traverse City, Sunset Cedar House is the also the perfect hub for the area's hiking, biking, and skiing. Enjoy beautiful Stoney Point! Bike and walk quiet country roads through woods, fields, and orchards with surprising views of Grand Traverse Bay. A small local park is 1/2 block away with great vistas, swimming and an easy kayak launch. Suttons Bay with its beaches, marinas, restaurants and unique shops is a 3 mile ride along the shore. Enjoy a quick bike ride into town to access the Leelanau trail. Visit nearby orchards, wineries, Fishtown and Sleeping Bear Dunes/National Lakeshore.

We offer 2 kayaks to use (must transport) cornhole boards & bags, trail riding your UTV/ORV, hiking, rafting at Jordan Valley Outfitter, snowmobiling. & many fine dining restaurants, several ski resorts and short day trips! Additionally, a 90 jet hottub for ultimate relaxation!

It’s located about 7 miles from Bellaire and Shorts brewery as well as torch lake. It’s about 45 minutes from traverse city, Charlevoix and Petoskey.

Rustic cabin originally built in 1951, less than a mile from Elk Rapids and 12 miles from downtown Traverse City! Boat launches and beaches in every direction. I want to reiterate the rustic aspect. The cabin is old. The tile is marked in places, the carpet weathered. The places has..character 😅 Please do keep that in mind when booking :)
