We have stayed at this location the past three or four years to celebrate New Year’s, and it is the perfect spot for our group. The kids love exploring in the woods and playing in the hot tub. Very secluded and peaceful. Beth is an excellent host and so easy to work with. Thank you again for a wonderful stay and experience!

This cabin was the perfect birthday weekend away location. It was so quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. We definitely plan on coming back in the future!

Lovely, cozy cabin. Even though it was winter, the yard and outside amenities (hot tub) were great. Beautiful property and the cabin had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the 2 couches, so my husband and I each had our couch to sprawl on and read/watch TV. Plenty of linens for the bathrooms and hot tub. Even though Christmas is long past, we enjoyed lighting up the tree every evening for ambiance!

A WONDERFUL STAY We were looking for a place to stay for Spring Break that wasn't just good for my wife and me, but also for our kids, and we came across the Red Bend. First and foremost, Denise and Benji were fantastic to work with. They were very responsive to our questions and were willing to let us bring our dog after our sitter fell through. Yes, the steps to Honey Creek are steep, but you can tell they are putting a lot into it. And once you are down there, it is a beautiful set up to just sit and relax or for our 9 and 7 year old to play. You are also in a great location to travel to Mohican State Park and hike there. You can tell Denise and Benji have put in a lot of work inside the house. There is a great blend of nostalgia and modern that is mixed perfectly together. The kids are already asking if we can come back next year and if we can stay longer the next time. So if you are thinking about booking the Red Bend. Do it!

Such a beautiful and enjoyable place to get away. We were able to go kayaking in the pond as they had one there. The paddle boat fit four people which was perfect for our little family. The kitchen was fully equipped. The gas fireplace had a remote, a nice touch at night. Two bedrooms each room having a queen size bed. The beds were super comfy. Closets were nice One bedroom had a fan above the bed with a remote to it which was very nice as we like to sleep with a fan. The bathroom was super clean, shower was very big in size. I love to take hot showers. The water was so relaxing. Amazing amount of fish in the massive pond. Bass were unbelievably huge in size. There was a goose sitting and the gander protecting them. Mallard ducks flew across the pond landing in and out. Beautiful sight to see. Turtles basking in the sun. Three fishing poles were provided, along with a tiny tackle box. Life jackets are provided. Extra blankets, towels, washclothes, and soaps. Hot tub was nice

Nice quiet place, off the beaten path. Plenty of room for the 10 of us. Would definitely stay there again!

Our middle school Bible study really enjoyed the trip here - perfect accommodations for a bunch of girls. The property was beautiful to walk around, and the price was fantastic.

Kirkmont was very responsive and helpful. The lodge was fun and spacious with pleasant hiking trails nearby. Our group loved our stay and would definitely recommend this to another group. Kitchen was well stocked, living space was comfy and the basement was perfect for group games and activities! We will definitely consider visiting again.

Such a charming cabin, in an awesome location. The neighborhood is quiet, and close to everything we needed during our stay. The beds were comfortable, the cabin was clean. The host was helpful and responsive. Can’t wait to stay again!!

We enjoyed our stay here at the end of March 2025. It was mostly quite. The hot tub was nice and the place was clean. We had our coffee on the huge front porch in the morning. A young gray and white cat loved to hang out. I named him Oscar 😀 We found a nice little bakery about 10 minutes away in Millersport as well as some nice little hometown restaurants. We took a stroll down by the lake which is literally a 3 minute walk from the cabin.

This was a beautiful place to stay. The cabin was very clean and welcoming. Everything was exactly like the pictures and descriptions. It was very quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend staying here. Katie was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice stay.

What a beautiful place to stay! Peaceful and in the woods, just what we wanted. We had no idea we would be in a camp ground. There were decent trails right there, which was nice, but definitely don’t miss Hocking Hills! A couple amenities were listed in the AirBnb listing that are no longer offered, like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and I thought wood for the fireplace was included—which it was until the last day, then we were told to buy it for $5/bundle. The listing just needs tweaked. We had everything we needed to cook breakfast and make a couple dinners, so kitchen was well equipped. Over all, a great place to spend a short honeymoon. I will return if we don’t have our RV next trip. And…. Might call to see if we can park here a couple days if we do have it.

The Hoot Owl is a wonderful place to get away from it all! We had a great stay as we visited family and friends in the area. Looking forward to our next visit!! Thank you for your hospitality!!
