A gorgeous location on a nature reserve with amazing sunrises and sunsets and the occasional spotting of game like Baboons and Zebra. Spacious accommodation with plenty of room to relax inside or out. Though rather spartan, it provides ample space and a great stove/oven for self-catering. Very quiet and relaxing and a great place for contemplation. Would be excellent for a family or group. I felt quite safe and relaxed. I would definitely come again.

If you want a break away in nature's best, this is definitely a place surrounded by beautiful lush trees, the tranquility from the river flowing, birds chirping and healing energy. The bonus is the private jacuzzi nestled on the ourside deck out on the elements.

What a peaceful, beautiful and generous space. We had such a restorative, blissful, intimate time hanging out in this space for a weekend. Alan and his staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable.

Thank you Tanja for the wonderful stay and the helpful advice about the labyrinth and surrounding area. we loved walking yhe river, fishing and spotting all the wildlife (otter, kudu, etc) and the many water birds. The cabin was so peaceful and private, we felt as if we were the only ones there. the jacuzzi and fires at night made it even more romantic and relaxing. definitely will return!

It is a homey, cosy and spacious place with a polite host. The Grumpy Old Man is quite welcoming. I only spent one night, but it was peaceful and quiet with a nice view from the kitchen. The decor is not fancy, but that actually made it feel more relaxed and like home. Woke up to nice bird sounds in the morning. Internet was great and the place is loadshedding proof with solar power.

I highly recommend Veranda house. Everyone is friendly and helpful from the receptionists to housekeepers and the maintenance guys. I love that it’s private and there’s a lot to do in the area and everything is within reach… 10/10 minus nothing ❤️

Though we only stayed one night at Tracey's place, it was a pleasure to stay and we didn't want to leave so soon. The beds were incredibly comfortable!! The place has everything a large group would need with some nice homely touches. Thanks very much, will stay again!

We had an amazing stay!!!! We were a large group and the accommodation was so satisfying for all of us The big stand out was Ben the grounds keeper! He made sure we were well welcomed and looked after us throughout our stay. He made sure we had everything we needed and even made sure to keep an eye out for us late at night when we returned from a night out! A massive thank you to Ben !

Leanne was an incredible host! Check in and out was very smooth. One of the most comfortable beds ever!!! Leanne was great with communicating with any help or issues I needed. She allowed me in the house to take an online exam, thank you very much!! Would definitely recommend!

I needed to go and do biometrics for a visa application and I found Joret's place to be close by. When I got confused with directions because of the closed road, Joret was very responsive when I called and she guided me on how to get to the guesthouse. Someone was there to open for me and lead me to my room. I liked that I had a kitchen area and bathroom to myself! The room was very clean and the area was quiet so I got peaceful rest after my bus ride from Botswana. The next morning at check-out I got to meet Joret. She was very friendly and so accommodating. When she heard I was taking the bus to go back home, she offered me to take a book from her library to read on my journey. This was such a nice gesture and I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed my book. This was such a great place with a great and lovely host, I would definitely go back again!

Spent a week at Jeanri’s place. Absolutely wonderful people. Very welcoming and accommodating. Everything is as marketed. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Clean, spacious and comfortable. We loved that the unit was in close proximity of Mediclinic Kloof and Castle Gate Shopping centre and a bunch of other amenities. Our hosts - Toy and Van's were very accommodating and helpful as we had a couple of special needs and requests which they facilitated without hesitation.

Marcelle and Fritz are sure super hosts. Fritz was waiting to welcome me at the gate. I felt at home and in love with the property before getting inside. I would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the beauty and hospitality. My room was more beautiful, homely, and better than pictures and words can capture. I sure will be back.
