Clean. Beautiful view of waterfall from the room. Swimming hole is a steep little walk (5-10 mins) from the property. Well worth a visit.

Our stay was absolutely lovely - the home has eclectic art and an inviting feel, and a deck overlooking the river gives the chance for some nature time and makes a perfect sit spot (although some traffic from River St can be heard). Location is great, being between the river and beach, and walking distance from New Brighton markets on tuesdays. Peter was great with communication. We booked last minute and the cleaner hadn’t had a chance to come, but Peter was super accomodating with sorting that out. Definitely recommend. Just so you know, a cabin in the garden is rented out as another Airbnb, so I’d check that one isn’t occupied if you want the feeling of utmost privacy.

We had a wonderful stay at Eric's. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat. The location was absolutely amazing – all you could hear was the soothing sound of the wind. Truly beautiful! Thank you for a memorable experience!

We came to stay here for a long weekend to recharge our batteries and shake off some urban stress. It was exactly what we needed. The accommodation was comfortable and cosy and although it was not far out of the way from the rest of the shire, it felt like we were in a private sanctuary. The property is so beautiful, the kids are already begging to go back. The hosts were wonderful and clearly love to provide a great experience for their guests with many additional touches that elevated our stay.

We just finished our stay and had the best time! Was the perfect little getaway to end a trip after a week of camping. Was lovely and private, only 5 minutes drive from the town which was the perfect distance to feel as though we were secluded but still close to everything! Julie was a great host and everything was so beautiful!

Andreas place was perfect for a little getaway. We needed somewhere to stay while at the blues festival. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only problem was the pot holes in the streets from Bangalow.

Wow. This place is incredible. I don’t think the photos do it justice. The expansive view from the cabin was fantastic. Swam in the creek a number of times and our pooch loved it as she could roam free! Ps the bed is possibly one of the best beds I’ve experienced in an Airbnb/hotel. Thanks so much for our stay!

We had a truly lovely and relaxing stay at this beautiful retreat – the perfect escape from the city. Kerry and Barry have created an idyllic place for guests to unwind and reconnect with nature.The property is teeming with wildlife – we spotted wallabies, water hens, ducks, and even caught a 45cm catfish in the lake! The serenity here is incredible. Amy discovered the lake sits at a crisp 20°C after falling in during a paddle-boarding attempt, but fortunately, the 37°C spa was the perfect way to warm up afterwards.Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We’re already looking forward to returning and can’t recommend this retreat highly enough!Thank you again, Kerry and Barry! When I found Rene's Cottage and went through the description and photos I fell in love with it. It made my day when our stay request was accepted. Nothing could prepare me though for experiencing this place in real life. The cottage is comfortable, provides everything you can possibly need and much more. I have honestly never slept in such a comfortable bed before and wanted to take it home at the end of the weekend. We loved having breakfast on the patio and evening drinks by the fire looking out over the river. It is however the whole place, it's location, rich family history, stunning nature and peace that it exudes that touched my heart. Our hosts made us feel right at home with their friendly and heartfelt welcome. We really appreciate that we got to know Margret and Maria a bit better as well. We couldn't have wished for better hosts. We will return to Rene's cottage and the beautiful Hastings Point, so see you soon Margret and Maria.

the stay was beautiful and we had a great time, so happy we were able to bring our dog and he loved it. Bonnie left very clear instructions for how to get in to the property (however i wasn't able to see the byron built signs mentioned), and how to checkout. check in and out process was smooth. the airbnb was immaculately clean and beautifully styled, perfect for a couples getaway. also props as it is very disability friendly. really great amenities available with a really well stocked kitchen, BBQ, and utensils. the surrounds and property were beautiful and backed onto a beautiful creek which wouldve been perfect for swimming if it had been sunny. only note is that it was described to be private/secluded. although we had no issues with it, the next closest unit was only around 50m away and when the people staying in the unit returned they were able to see into the lounge room of our unit quite well. very minor criticism as this didn't bother us at all.
