This quaint, quiet and remarkably cozy cabin was a perfect weekend retreat! We stayed two nights and really enjoyed everything this cabin had to offer. The kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast every morning and pack a lunch for walking the state park only about a mile down the road. Watching the pelicans swim down the Mississippi was morning entertainment from the porch chairs. The relaxing jacuzzi tub was a special treat every evening as we watched our favorite show from the outdoor tv. This cabin was well equipped, decorated thoughtfully and tastefully and provided us with a relaxing get-away! In addition, Pauline was quick to deliver a new coffee maker when the one we had wouldn’t work! Thank you very much for allowing us to stay at your slice of Heaven!

Recently stayed here for a long girl's weekend and it far exceeded our expectations! There were 4 of us and we each had our own bedroom AND bathroom which is really hard to find. The kitchen and dining room are spacious and the living room super comfy - we spent our evenings there just chatting and hanging out. You can tell that Andrew and Sara put a lot of thought and effort into decorating the space to give it a very cozy and inviting vibe. Lots of extra touches - the soft linens, sound machine in each bedroom, cute decor. We definitely intend on another girl's trip to Galena and plan to stay in this house again. Highly recommend!

What cute and accommodating place!! Very quiet and peaceful!! And an awesome story behind the humble abode, just ask Cowboy Joe!! It is a great place if you plan on venturing out during the day and want to come back and relax!! The hot tub was awesome. The beds are amazing too. As mentioned before the kitchen is bare except for cooking and eating utensils. So plan for that. We would definitely do a retrun trip!!

The hosts were very helpful and communicated well. The actual home was very well kept and nice and cozy. Will definitely be back

This cabin was fully stocked with amenities, linens, soap, washing detergent, kitchen equipment and was super clean. The area around the cabin peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a cabin getaway. Definitely worth the price.

A beautiful home for a weekend getaway! Bedrooms are roomy, plenty of closet space, the view & very peaceful. Not too close and not too far from everyrhing, distance is just right, what more could you ask for? If this is available when you need to visit the area do not hesitate just book it! Communication with Tracy was easy and she was very quick to respond. Top Notch!!!

Very responsive hosts. We did a same night check in and they were accommodating for being last minute. We celebrated our anniversary and they even left us a little surprise.

Fabulous find! Very spacious with multiple ways to enjoy the beautiful surroundings from the hot tub, outdoor dining table, or fire pit. Main Street was just a quick drive away and Andrea was prompt and responsive to our questions.

Book this property immediately! If you’re looking for a remote, peaceful property this is your spot. We loved exploring the property and land. Plenty of wildlife and farm animals to observe in the area. The sky is crazy clear at night. Great star gazing and an awesome porch to sip your coffee out on. Extremely clean and well stocked. Also not much to have to do on the “clean up” list during checkout which is always nice when you’re trying to get out the door with littles. In the area often and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Phil is so kind and clearly loves hosting guests and helping them feel at home. Cool decor, too!

A delightful retreat. A frames have a special charm and this one definitely stands above the rest. Excellent views & easy to operate gas stove made for cozy couch and reading time. This felt like a well loved home instead of a stale guest residence run by a rental agency, which always makes the experience more personalized. Kent was very communicative and provided plenty of detail about the space and its quirks. Would return again.

We loved our stay in this tiny and cozy cabin... from resting on the couch and enjoying the loft bedroom... and especially the proximity to a few great State parks that We hiked in both IL & IA! We would definitely stay again!

The cabin is a beautiful place. With great views overlooking the Mississippi River and a very comfortable setting that makes you feel right at home. The check in process is very easy and flexible on when you’re able to arrive. Thank you for the great stay if I’m ever in the area again I will be booking here

Nice town, cool cabin for weekend getaway. Bugs do get in, we were in season for Asian lady beetles during our stay. Fine by me being in the woods essentially but the lady got a little turned off.

What a place to kick back and relax. Being on the Mississippi was definitely a plus. If you are a train buff I know of no better place to get your fill.

Rustic River cabins were the perfect cozy getaway for a chilly winter weekend. My sister and I loved being able to have a relaxing night in with a beautiful view, inside and outside of the cabin. I am already looking to book my next trip!

My family and I really enjoyed the stay. the place was clean and comfortable. we loved the touch inside with the tree. The resort has alot to do from fishing to golfing. It also has atv tracks. Steve is a great host and very kind. we got to meet him and chat for a bit. Thanks Steve!

Visited from Chicago after graduation from residency with my mom, sister and dog. It was just what we needed. Sooooo peaceful, restorative and tranquil. The place was comfortable and cozy. I really enjoyed sitting outside on the porch and chatting with my family while watching the rain, the fireflies and the mooing cows. Will probably visit again sometime soon!

Enjoyed our trip to Galena and our stay in Elizabeth at the bnb. Only wish the temperature was warmer the weekend we was there but still had a good time

Great place to stay while visiting family!

The blue cabin was inviting, cozy & peaceful. It had everything we needed, only had to bring clothing, some toiletries, and groceries. It was easy to find and secluded yet close to everything we may need. We were just looking for a getaway and found so much more! We will be back!!

This cabin was PERFECT for our little one night short stay with a family of 4. There was a total of three queen size mattresses and 2 living room/sitting areas, so plenty of room to spread out. Really appreciated the host providing some card games to play, snacks and muffins for breakfast! Everything the host could control was great, only downsides was general location and a train that woke us up a few times. The location is definetely out in the middle of nowhere (it is not in the middle of the woods though, it is in a small unincorporated neighborhood) but the closest gas station, resturant, etc are at least 15 minutes away. And the train for some reason would honk it's horn multiple times everytime it passed nearby in the middle of the night. I am a pretty light sleeper, so it was not great night sleep for me, so bring ear plugs if you also are not used to trains/wake up easily. 😉 Overall, the host and the cabin itself are 5 stars especially for the price!
