We really enjoyed our stay at Union Hotel. The apartment is really spacious and clean. All the staff is extremely kind and professional. Breakfast is delicious and various. I recommend Union Hotel for its high level service and its position close to the city centre.

انا ممتن لعائلة Kidist كثيراً لاني مرضت خلال اقامتي لديهم، كانت الجدة تقوم برعايتي وتقديم المشروبات والمأكولات الساخنة لي حتى تماثلت للشفاء. اما الغرفة فهي كما في الوصف مريحة ونظيفة ولا تشعر بالازعاج حواليك.

Simeng is the most wonderful host you could think of. I would always come back or recommend to stay here. We had some great conversations and Simeng took the time to familiarize me with the area and everything you need is closed by. The entire place is sparkling clean, the area is safe and I had my own cosy little room and bathroom and some lovely breakfast. There also is a train station that connects you directly to the city center.

Martina's place is in the foothills of Yeka, a sub-city in the northeastern portion of Addis. It is a two-minute walk from Menelik II hospital and within walking distance of a relatively expensive Italian restaurant and a nice coffee shop/bakery (Koba Patisserie). The Airbnb/house itself is in a compound shared with a local family with two (very quiet) children. It has plenty of green and grassy areas, which is a huge privilege in Addis. Two cats and three friendly dogs share the space and are very protective of all the residents (and visitors!). The place was clean, had everything I needed (including snacks/breakfast from Martina), and entirely as advertised. I would recommend relying on mobile hotspot for internet, although even that can be spotty.

Dessiew is a phenomenal host he is happy to organise as much or as little as you require. Breakfast is superb and it’s a great place to meet other travellers. The WiFi is good as is the hot water. The homestay is a walk out of town which is fun during the day and easy by tuktuk at night. He sorted airport shuttle for us and his place is a 2 minute walk from the bus station if that’s how you arrive/depart. He’s planning a garden and a roof terrace - we’ll be back!

This is the first time my family and I stayed at a guest house in Addis Ababa. Ruth’s place felt home away from home. Ruth is a super host who replied right away to answer all of our questions. She also gave us great recommendations to restaurants, hair salon, and car rental. She’s very resourceful and always willing to help! We really appreciate her quick response to all of our inquiries. Once we reached addis at Ruth’s place we were welcomed by to amazing guys Mesgana and Temesgen who helped us with our luggages showed us around the apartment to make sure we knew how everything worked. They also made sure we had water and food since we had our kids with us! They really went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and we really appreciated their help! The apartment is super clean and very comfortable. The kitchen had all the things we need if we want to cook. The bed was super comfortable and everyone had a great night sleep. My two daughters didn’t want to leave as they had so much fun. The view is incredible! My husband and I enjoyed our morning cup of coffee on the balcony over looking the amazing view of the city. Ruth’s apartment is located at a prime location very easy to get to all the great restaurants and most importantly the airport! We also enjoyed walking to the most awesome coffee shop called “Melke” right next to Sidera Hotel. I asked my two daughters what they like about Ruth’s place and they said everything and they said they’re disappointed that we didn’t stay longer! We will definitely stay at Ruth’s place again and our next stay will be longer than this time! Thank you so much for everything! See you soon!!

We were picked up at the airport, which is 20 minutes away. We stayed for two nights in this very clean and nice apartment. A tasteful breakfast on the balcony with the breathtaking vieuw is very special. Haftamu is easy to reach and reacts fast. He tipped us for a very good guide for the rockchurces. Entrance to the Unesco-side is 100 USD (you can also pay in Birr). We gave the guide for the whole day 2450 Birr. Personel of Haftamu, very nice ladys who live nearby, suggest that we take dinner at Unique, a little restaurant nearby where we had a good and tasty pizza. The guide of the rockchurches tippes us the next day for Segeret, a restaurant on the third floor at the central square, also very tasteful. We had to deal with curvieuw, but that was no problem for us.
