A fantastic castle with so many things to view and exhibitions to look at. I spent many hours here as a child - the fascination still holds and the history relating to East Anglia is plentiful within the castle walls. Learn about some of the history of Norwich.
A hugely impressive Norman keep now houses a large museum and art collection.
Norwich Castle was built by the Normans as a Royal Palace 900 years ago! It is now a museum packed with treasures to inspire and intrigue visitors of all ages. Plenty of interactive hands on exhibits to really get children involved and interested in history.

“Norwich’s magnificent Romanesque Cathedral is open to visitors of all faiths and none. Set in 44 acres of beautiful grounds (known locally as the ‘village within the city) it’s an awe-inspiring, welcoming building with spectacular architecture, magnificent art and a fascinating history. One of the finest complete Romanesque cathedrals in Europe, with the second tallest spire and largest monastic cloisters in England, the cathedral houses more than a thousand beautiful medieval roof boss sculptures. Take time to look up and explore them.”
