Members of this ancient family were High Kings of Leinster and on a tour of Borris House you will learn of some interesting family members down through the years. This 650 acre walled private park and woodland is the centrepiece of Borris village. It is an exclusive wedding venue and home to several boutique festivals throughout the year.

A Great walk around one of the oldest houses still inhabited by the family. The walk takes you down tot he river Barrow and back to the village. T

Are you a fan of the Tudors? Then you’ll love this Tudor gothic mansion. Borris House was modelled after an 18th century house and a former 15th century castle, making it a landmark of Irish architectural history. Borris House is privately owned and Morgan and Sara Kavanagh and their family, direct descendants of the original owners are in residence. There is so much to enjoy during a visit here including access to the granary, a looped film detailing the history of the family and the estate, the lace garden and wonderful woodland walks.
