A historic winery, founded in 1876 by two German immigrants. The grounds are lush and beautiful and includes the ornate Rhine House which was modeled after the their original home in Germany.

One of the top large wineries in the world, Beringer has long done an exceptional job of producing a substantial volume of reliably high-quality wine, from the entry level bottlings to the often extraordinary Private Reserves. Its impressive, 1884 fieldstone Rhine House, housing the tasting room, is a Napa Valley landmark. There are various tasting and tour options; try the $55 Taste of Beringer Tour, which includes a barrel sampling in the old, hand-dug caves and a guided, sit-down tasting.

Full disclosure - Beringer has been making wine for 143 years and offers tours, tastings and beautiful grounds to walk. They are the only winery to be named Wine of the Year for both a red and white wine. Book a private seated tasting in the Rhine House to try the amazing single vineyard cabernets - you can't get them outside of Napa.

Beautiful garden and historic mansion. Great wine and wine shop. Sometimes they have live music on the weekend.
