Edgar Allan Poe, American author, poet, editor and literary critic and a part of the American Romantic movement met his wife in Baltimore. Edgar Allan Poe lived with his aunt, Maria Clemm, and her family in this small duplex on North Amity Street in Baltimore from about 1832 until fall 1835. Check out Edgar Allen Poe's museum. I love this place, but I caution that the surrounding area isn't the greatest, so attend during daylight hours.
