Love this place. Proper 'old man' vibe - with great selection of whisky (they still pour good 35ml measure here) and classic local beers.

If you like whisky or want to try.. this is the place to go, with over 580 on offer from £2.50 a nip to £100 a nip. Athletic arms, More commonly known by the people of Edinburgh as Diggers. Its located between two graveyards and was frequented by the gravediggers, propping their spades on the bar after a long day of burying the dead.

Traditional Scottish working mans pub, better known as The Diggers as the gravediggers from the Victorian cemetery across used to 'refresh' themselves here. It serves a variety of real ales and an extensive range of malt whiskeys - at a reasonable price. Decorated with pictures of, and about, the areas local football team - Heart of Midlothian FC. The pies are good too.

Traditional Edinburgh pub within walking distance of the flat. Mainly ales and whisky, but a really fun ambiance with a lots of local characters.
