A 15 minute drive from Kestrels Nest, Russell’s is set in an 1850s Welsh miner’s cottage in Willunga. Request a cosy side room near a potbelly stove for a secluded evening. Bringing the pizzas to your table is a mix of locals, from 13-year-old students to people in their late 80s. The vibe is community- and family-minded. They offer some of the best wood oven pizzas around, fresh salads, homemade bread with house dukkah, and seasonal desserts. The oven was built over two decades ago and while the pizzas are a must, it’s the meatballs you have to try. Fired in the wood oven, they’re filled with feta and herbs, and are melt-in-your-mouth good

Unique, rustic, laid back, good value. The platters and wood fire oven pizzas are delicious. BYO is encouraged with very reasonable corkage. Only open Friday and Saturday evenings. Book early!
