Arles

Visit the Roman amphitheatre, wander round the town and see some of the places that inspired the paintings of Van Gogh. The museum "L'Arles Antique " is well worth a visit as is "la Fondation Vincent Van Gogh ".

Arles has enough museums, galleries and historic sights to satisfy anybody. Add one of the best preserved Roman amphitheatres anywhere and strong links to Van Gogh, not to mention great restaurants and Frank Gehry's latest building, and you could easily spend a day here.
