The City Of Ten Thousand Buddhas is an international Buddhist community and monastery founded by Hsuan Hua in 1974. It is one of the first Chan Buddhist temples in the United States, and one of the largest Buddhist communities in the Western Hemisphere.

Lovely park-like area with Buddhist Temples. They have also bought a neighborhood school near me and will make it into a Buddhist University where they already offer meditation sessions to the public

“Many locals, and visitors spend time on Lake Mendocino during the warmer months in the Ukiah Valley. Paddle board, kayak, canoe, swim, fish, or wind surf. You can do it all here. Warning, though, there are also powered boats, and they can be annoying, at times. If it is not so warm, you may also hike, run or bike on the trails which surround the lake. ”

“Bakery and so very much more! Good size, well lighted space with plenty of seating for small and good size gathering, as well as the lone individual. Great breakfasts, lunch sandwiches and hot meals, and good coffee and baked goods. In addition, produces varieties of breads for sale baked each morning. Our favorite is Seedelicious.”
