Historic Plateau, home to shopping, food, bars and nightclubs, beautiful residential streets and galleries.
Hip, trendy and artsy, the Plateau is known for its iconic spiral staircases and historical three-storey buildings. It is home to casual cafes, laid-back eateries, busy bars, and contemporary galleries and theatres.
This neighbourhood has a lot of charm. Beautiful buildings, large street art murals and amazing cafes/restaurants. Parc La Fontaine is also here and is very nice to walk around in.
Full of amazing sights. Lots of colourful architecture, cool places to hang out, great restaurants, lots of parks and outside spaces to discover. Good nightlife scene. Very close to many other vibrant areas of the city.

“See how the city first began along the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal, with architecture dating back as far as 1685. Watch street perdormers from a terrase at historic Place Jacques-Cartier before stopping by Notre-Dame Basilica for the stained-glass art and, by night, the incredible multimedia creation AURA. After dark you can also see the illuminating tableaux of Cité Mémoire on building facades all around the neighbourhood.”
