On the Suffolk coast. Very interesting church ruins and village. Small rowing boat ferry takes you across the estuary to Southwold (please check their webside for details - Walberswick ferry). You can walk into the town of Southwold with its independent shops and cafes.
Half hour or so drive, longer if you take the route through Adleburgh up to Minsmere nature reserve, past Dunwich. Very relaxing, chilled out location. We take Poppy craving there in the summer, a small ferry is available to cross the water to Southwold quay.
This is where the British Crabbing Championship takes place!!!! Not only that there are 2 Great Pubs to dine at as well as great beach walks and ferry over to Southwold
