Sweeneys at the bridge in Achill Sound is the original self sufficent island shop. Here you can get everything from a loaf of traditional soda bread and a packet of rashers to quinoa and some mangos, footwear, clothing, buckets, spades, kites, bathroom fittings, pumbing, garden hoses, nails and DIY stuff of all sorts, shapes and sizes.
