K1 Soccer City is one of the best places to watch international soccer broadcasts in Nairobi. It’s a bar and restaurant located in Parklands, near the CBD. They have lots of screens, comfortable seating, and decent food that you can order while you watch. They play all the big games here via the SuperSport channel. There’s also a club on-site at K1, so if your team wins you can celebrate by dancing the night away! Don’t worry though, Soccer City is fully soundproof so your game won’t be disturbed by the music. They also have pool tables here, so you can play if you arrive early with your friends.

Whether you’re keen to people watch, catch the football on a big screen, meet some fellow travellers or feast on Kenya’s famous nyama choma (meat cooked over the fire) served with ugali (maize meal) and kacumbari (a tomato, onion and coriander side dish), you can find pretty much whatever you’re looking for at this OG hotspot. Their weekend market is also a great place to find local artisans that are offering something different to the average Maasai Market goods.

Need a slightly local experience, then K1 can be a start. Get some kenyan made goodies every Sunday at their weekly flea market. From jewellery, body oils, spices, fabrics etc. The Sunday flea market has good live music evenings. It can turn out to be a perfect Sunday chill plan.
